Getting your kids to do laundry is a task that is easier said than done. Instead of just telling your kids to do laundry, you have to give them the right tools to get their job done. One thing I have learned over the years is that if you don't get the right laundry bag, it can spell disaster come laundry day. A laundry bag that is flimsy and rips easily can cause a huge mess, and spell disaster for mom. So below is my list of top five laundry bags that are just right for kids to make it to the laundry room, or to keep it neat and organized on the way to the Laundromat.
Drawstring laundry bag
A drawstring laundry bag is perfect for young children. They can stuff it full of their dirty clothes, and then just pull the string. Even a four year old, will be able to use the drawstring laundry bag. It really is an easy fix to a messy child room. The drawstring bags come in a lot of different colors, and designs, so you can have your child pick the one of their choosing.
Sturdy tote bag
A sturdy tote bag made out of canvas material, is strong enough to hold your children's clothes, and even better you can wash it. These types of bags can be tossed into the washing machine, and freshened up along with the rest of your kid's laundry. Just be careful when you toss it in the laundry machine so that the pieces don't end up coming off. You will also want to avoid drying it in the laundry, and instead allow it to air dry. The sturdy tote bags come along with two straps that make it much easier to carry.
Large personalized laundry bag
Kids may be more inclined to do their laundry if it has a personalized touch to it. Why not put your child's name on this zippered laundry bag. They can stuff it full of their dirty laundry, zip it up and then bring it to the laundry room. One of the benefits of personalizing the laundry bag is the fact that you will no longer have to worry about your kids getting their laundry bags mixed up.
Laundry bag with carry pack
I thought this bag was great for young teens who have to travel with their parents to the Laundromat. They can easily use this bag to hold their clothes and their change or dryer sheets. I help to keep things nice and organized for the typical unorganized teens. For younger kids this extra pocket works great for small books, or art pads to keep kids busy at the Laundromat.
Hanging laundry bag
The hanging laundry bag is a great way to save floor space if you live in a small confined area. You can have your kids hang them on the door, or hang them in the closet. It is a nice way to keep the clothes off the floor, and avoid having a large bulky hamper take up lots of space in the room. I also fund this hanging laundry bag perfect to take on a camping trip. You can hang it up to keep it off the ground and it won't take up space in the tent.
