Top Five Motorcycles You Can Own for Less Than $15,000

I have compiled a short list of the top five motorcycles that can be purchased for less than fifteen thousand dollars. I feel each of these models are the best at what they do which is why Included the "Class" information.

Having years of experience riding both off road and road machines I can say one thing for sure, the technology which is being applied to motorcycles today is amazing compared to what was available when I was younger.

All of the motorcycles I selected are for 2010 model year.

1) Cruiser type, Honda Sabre VT 1300 CS.
This is quite a lot of motorcycle for not a lot of cash at around $11,799. Honda makes some of the most reliable engines on the planet, and their motorcycle engines are smooth, powerful, quiet, and reliable. $11,799. If you are into road riding and need a decent size cruiser then maybe this model is for you!

2) Standard type, Harley-Davidson Xl 1200x Sportster "Forty Eight."
This classic looking Harley carries the stout "Evolution" engine. Everyone knows that the image of a Harley Davidson motorcycle is drop dead sexy, and we also know that chicks dig the sound a well tuned Harley can produce. This bike is definitely a bargain for under fourteen thousand dollars! $13,932. And remember that Harley Davidson Motorcycles have historically held their resale value really well over the years.

3) Cruiser type, Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager.
Engine is a 4 stroke V twin, SOHC, 8 valve engine. If you are planning on hitting the open road for a cross country tour then you owe it to yourself to test ride one of these big Cruisers! They are luxurious and yet still quite affordable. $14,299. Kawasaki makes really sweet engines that have a deceptively quiet idle with a thunderous roar when you stroke the throttle! You will be surprised at how much get up and go this big bike offers.

4) Sport Bike type, Yamaha Yzf-R1. Rossi Special Edition.
DOHC, 16-valve, in-line four engine. This MOTO-GP inspired bike is coming off a record breaking year which included garnering the prestigious 2009 motorcycle of the year award handed out by Motorcyclist Magazine.
It uses the Yamaha Cross-Plane Crankshaft engine technology carried over from previous models which does miraculous things for a Sport Bike this size. You will not easily find a match for this bike in this price class. In fact if you are into racing, this bike can go straight to the track and is pretty much race ready! $14,499.

5) Super Bike type, Ktm 1190 Rc8.
If you do not know the name Ktm, then most likely you will soon. This manufacturer is all about racing, and their Superbikes are simply superb. The 1190 Rc8 is a super-fast super-bike! If your motorcycling goal is to strap onto a go fast piece of exotic metal and plastic formed into a two wheeled rocket then look no further! These are truly a steal at $14,999. Ktm bikes have been winning races and new customers at a startling rate. My motto is: If you try one, you will probably buy one!
