Born in 1986, and having two elder sisters quite a few years older, the 1980s era instead of the 1990s was my era! Wearing the 80's clothes and watching the 80's shows because it was a rite of passage and inheritance from my elder siblings! Not complaining though, I got to experience, in my opinion one of the best era's ever! Here are some the top movies we all watched together growing up!

1.
The Secret of NIMH

- Director Don Bluth
- Produced in 1982

This delightful story of my childhood his about a mouse, Mrs. Brisby who is looking for a way to save her home and children, when a farmer plans to plow his field. On her journey she discovers a secret society of lab rats that may have the answer to all her problems.

2. E.T. the Extra- Terrestrial

- Director Steven Spielberg

A Classic and a must see if you were not a 80s movie watcher guru! An alien, who has lost his way, finds himself intruding on a family's life that in most ways are lost themselves!

3. The Goonies

-Director Richard Donner
Produced in 1985

This is a classic 80's family film, if you think 1980's and this movie doesn't pop into your mind, you are not a true 80s person!

A group of friends fined a treasure map in the attic and decide to try and find the treasure, running into a bunch of bandits along the way, some trouble, ending up in a well, they learn some lessons, gain some friendships and much more! If you haven't watched this movie, YOU MUST!

4. The Princess Bride

-Director Rob Reiner
-Produced in 1987

I watch this movie every chance I get! Over and Over again! I love it!

A love and action story told by a grandfather to his sick grandson to cheer him up. The grandson is unsure of the love part in the story, but gets way into the story as it continues!

5. Ewoks- Battle for Endor

- Director Jim Wheat
- Produced 1985

The furry little creatures originally from star wars are back in their own feature film! Attacks, fighting, and much more!

A favorite among the star wars fans and upcoming fans! A must see if, have not! Enjoy by yourself or have a family fun night and watch this incredible movie!
