5. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Publisher: Atari, Developer: Spike, Release Date: November 13, 2007, ESRB Rating: RP
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was one of the better launch games for the Wii. The sequel will be one of the better Wii games this fall. Featuring over 150 playable characters, the third game in the series will give hardcore Dragon Ball fans more than enough fan service while introducing new fans into the incredible universe. Not to mention that it will have online play, the first in the series, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.
4. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Intelligent Systems, Release Date: November 5, 2007, ESRB Rating: E10+
Sometimes a game doesn't need to innovate in order to be fun; this is the case with the Fire Emblem series. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (a direct sequel to the Gamecube's Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance) is an old school strategy game. All characters in the game have the same rock-paper-scissor type of strengths and weaknesses. Although it sounds simple, Fire Emblem is known for its high difficulty. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn will please many hardcore gamers this fall.
3. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
Publisher: Capcom, Developer: Capcom, Release Date: October 16, 2007, ESRB Rating: RP
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure continues to fly under everyone's radar. The game is basically a point-and-click adventure game. You use the Wii Remote in innovative ways to solve puzzles. In fact, more than any other Wii game, Zack & Wiki probably offers the best use of the Remote. In a fall of big video game releases, make sure you don't overlook Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure.
2. Super Mario Galaxy
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo, Release Date: November 12, 2007, ESRB Rating: RP
Super Mario Galaxy is the first real Mario game since Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. The level design is awesome; instead of levels, Mario gets to jump around from planet to planet around the entire galaxy. Each planet is different with its own personalities. Super Mario Galaxy also looks gorgeous, which can't be said for many other Wii games. Although Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo Gamecube was a disappointment, Super Mario Galaxy will be more than enough to make up for it.
1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo, Release Date: December 3, 2007, ESRB Rating: RP
No other game can compare to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The game represents everything that is Nintendo. It is like a celebration, an extremely fun one at that. New characters and stages are added not only from Nintendo franchise but from others as well (Solid Snake, for example). A bevy of new modes are also present including a brand new stand-alone adventure mode that actually has a story. Although the single player mode sounds excellent, everyone knows that Super Smash Bros. Brawl begins and ends with multiplayer. Crazy new items and moves will assure hours upon hours of hectic fun. If you own a Nintendo Wii than there is no reason to not buy Super Smash Bros. Brawl this fall.
