Top Five Places to Buy Candy Christmas Ornaments

Make Your Christmas Extra Sweet This Year

Tabitha Blades
Most people cover their trees in candy canes, but if you'd like to go above and beyond this year you can always look into some other confection ornaments. (Whether they be real or fake.) Faux candy ornaments have the bonus of being usable next year, because you'll have to eat any real candies you decorate with. Though that probably won't be a problem as anybody that comes over will want to 'help you take down the tree' - One chocolate at a time! Here's some great places to look for ornaments.

1. www.PenceChristmasTreeFarm.com

If you're into the more 'forever' candy approach then this is your place. They have a wide assortment of beautiful hand blown glass ornaments! They all look good enough to eat, and will last a life time. They have chocolates, ribbon candies, gummy bears, chocolate oranges, cupcakes, and quite a few more! So stop by if you're looking for some great glassware decorations.

Some items are pretty expensive (The six piece chocolate confections set is $52.50), but they are very nice decorations. The quality is apparent in their pictures. My pick from their site is the Assorted Chocolates Set!

2. www.CandyWarehouse.com

Candy Warehouse has the real candy ornaments, but you'd better order them quick, because they look very popular. They have some peppermint wreaths, chocolate ornaments, candy Santas, and some adorable little ginger bread houses that are totally edible! If you need any other Christmas candies they've got you covered there too, because they have an enormous selection.

The items here are cheaper per unit, but you have to buy a lot of them most times! The Chocolate ball ornaments are in a 40ct tub. My pick from Candy Warehouse is their edible Gingerbread house ornament. These would make great gifts for kids if you can keep them on the tree long enough.

3. www.Seasonal Reflections.com

Seasonal Reflections has another interesting selection of sweet themed ornaments. Not only can you choose between different treats, but lots of them have alternate colors as well! For example you can choose between chocolate, vanilla, and pink frosted donuts. There's plenty of others such as ginger bread men, cupcakes, peppermints, and even some cute lollipop garlands.

Everything here seems to be pretty equally priced, and inexpensive. Take note of the size of the ornaments when considering the pricing. Some of the expensive ones are 12 inches long! My choice for their site is the donut ornaments, because they're just too cute!

4. www.Bronners.com

Bronners has a whole section of their site dedicated to food shaped ornaments. Featuring candy canes, Hershey's syrup, and some Gingerbread men you can personalize! They also have a set of M&Ms Christmas lights that would look great on a candy themed tree.

Bronner's ornaments all are about $5 - $8 depending on the individual trinket. The most expensive ones being the personalized keepsakes. My pick from their site is the personalized gingerbread man! You can put any name you like on his hat. It would be great to hang them on your tree and give them out to the person who's name is on it at the end of your celebration. They're only $5.99 each so you won't have to break the bank either.

5. www.ebay.com

Ebay has so many sellers that Christmas is literally everywhere. It will take you a long time to search the massive listing database, but there are lots of ornaments to choose from. You will get a lot of auctions for 'candy canes' so try using a search like "candy ornament" -cane. This tells the search box to show you any listings that have the words "candy ornament" in them, but not to show any that have the word 'cane'. Since you used the parenthesis to group those words together you also shouldn't get any results that are either for just candy or just ornaments. Only those matching both words will be shown.

Ebay will probably get you the best deal price wise. Sellers are always trying to one up each other, and get to the front of the 'lowest price listing page'. So you're almost guaranteed to get the best deal. My favorite item I found there was a set of glass ornaments with the M&M's character's faces.

If you still can't find what you're looking for you could try making your own ornaments! Purchase some candy, and ribbon from the store. Hot glue the ribbon in a loop to whatever candies you want to use, and hang them up on your tree. You could even string some sweets together to make a delicious garland. When friends and family come over for Christmas you can send them home with something off your tree as part of their gift. You could also bake cookies, and turn those into ornaments. Just wrap them in baggies, and use ribbon to hang them off the branches.
