Top Five Reasons You Should Hate Facebook

These days it seems like everyone is on Facebook, and that Facebook is all around us. But is this a necessarily a good thing? Today I am going to list the top five things people seem to hate about Facebook. I gathered this information from mostly my friends and from online message boards and of course, personal experience. So without further ado, lets take a look at the top ten reasons people hate Facebook, starting with number five first.

5. It isn't as customizable as Myspace and other social networking sites.

Facebook isn't as customizable as Myspace, but much easier to use, which is probably why everyone is using Facebook today. I'd like to see Facebook a little more customizable, and a little more like Myspace in that respect.

4.The odd mix of family and friends you have to add to your profile.

This is a serious one, and a problem with all social networking sites, not just Facebook. Suppose you add your older brother and he sees a comment from your boyfriend on one of your skimpy pictures, or your Dad or Mom sees it. Or a younger brother sees his older sister flirting with various different types of guys. It can be a very bad situation for friends and families if the wrong people read the wrong thing. Another reason I hate Facebook.

3.People thinking you're not their friend for not adding them on Facebook.

"If you don't add me to your Facebook friends we must not be real friends in real life!", is a phrase uttered by people all across America. People's feelings can actually be hurt if you don't add them, but you must be careful because you don't want to have the "odd mix" of family and friends.

2.People posting the stupidest and most useless status updates.

I don't care if your painting your nails, taking a shower, brushing your teeth or walking your dog. I really hate Facebook because of this. It's just not a big deal to me and frankly its really annoying. Don't make your Facebook your journal of your life, keep a journal under your bed or something.

1.Stalkers.

There's a lot of creeps and weirdos out there and a few of them are probably even on your friends list. Whether it be an ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend, or a strung out junkie watching your status updates for when you go "walk your dog", stalkers is one of the biggest reasons people hate Facebook today. Stalkers can be very dangerous too, and if you feel you are being stalked on Facebook you should call the police. In fact Facebook just attracts stalkers because they can find you easily just by typing your name in, and then just make a fake profile and add you.
