Top Five Religious Gifts for Women This Christmas

Rochelle Connery
Are you looking for the perfect religious gifts for women for Christmas this year? It can be difficult to see the forest through the trees when you walk into a religious bookstore or gift shop and try to find just the right Christmas gift. Oftentimes, many of the trinkets and books they sell don't seem all that godly anyway, and many are filled entirely with fluff. With these top five religious gifts for women, however, you will be able to pick something she'll love and find valuable at the same time - without a lot of hassle on your part.

One: Christian Novel Book Series

The Left Behind series has lost a little bit of its flair, and she's probably read them all anyway. So why not give her a miniseries of books by Terri Blackstock, one of the most popular Christian mystery writers. One of my family members has read several of her books, and found them to be just the right amount of mystery tied in with just a smidge of romance. The best option to buy is the Restoration Series, which includes Last Night, Night Light, True Light, and Dawn's Light. You can find these books at any Christian bookstore or online.

Two: Willow Tree Figurine

Far from your average religious figurine, Willow Tree gifts are suited to fit any aspect of life. Is your wife good cook? There's a figurine for the cook in the family. Most Christian and secular gift stores carry Willow Tree Figures, which oftentimes have a Biblical or religious meaning, such as prayer, giving, caring, etc. Choose just the right character for the woman in your life, and she'll cherish this gift for a long time to come. They're perfect for just about any age above 12.

Three: Inspirational Book for Women

Books by Joel Osteen and Rick Warren are usually overrated; I would stay away from these. Instead, give her an inspirational book, such as Women of the Bible: 52 Stories for Prayer and Reflection by Ann Spangler. Every week she can read about women who stood up against their peers to become extraordinary. This gift would be both enjoyable and uplifting, and something she can look forward to all year long.

Four: Prayer Books by Stormie Omartian

Stormie Omartian has written several books on prayer for women. From praying for adult children to praying for a husband, prayers for life's trials to forgiveness and healing, Stormie covers just about every aspect of life that could be prayed for. You might want to accompany this gift with a decorated prayer journal and fancy pen to make it more of a package.

Five: Christian CD by Her Favorite Artist

Nothing beats getting music at Christmas. If you don't know her favorite Christian band, hint for an answer or ask another family member. You could get a Christmas album by the artist, their newest release, or their "best of" album. The options are endless!
