Seniors often experience increasing problems as they age. They might develop mobility problems, problems with hearing, problems with sight, just to name a few of their common problems. There are an amazing number of products on the market that are targeted especially toward senior citizens, that make their life just a bit easier. Here are the top five useful gadgets for seniors.

Cellphone - Many seniors experience increasing visual problems that make performing everyday task difficult. Some even develop trouble punching in the numbers on a typical cellphone because the keys are so small. And of course you want your senior parent to be able to make a quick call in case of an emergency in the home or when they are out of the house. The Jitterbug is a big button cellphone designed especially for the senior citizen. The cellphone is actually quite stylish and fashionable. The cellphone is easy to open, has a loud speaker function. Special buttons are included to immediately dial 911 call and the operator in case of an emergency.

Adjustable Walking Sticks - Seniors like to stay active and participate in activities, but they might experience mobility problems. An Adjustable folding and walking stick is an appropriate solution. These walking sticks are lightweight and are easy to fold to half their size and tucked away in a large tote when not in use.

Walking Trolley - Many seniors need more support than a walking stick. A walking trolley is a good idea for them. This item is a mobile device on four rolling wheels with two handles that the senior grasp in their hands and use to walk steadily for longer distance.

Long Handled Reachers - These reachers are basically a clamp on the end of a long stick which has a mechanism to open and close around the item reached for, plus these long handled reachers or grabbers are great for reaching up to high places on a shelf, in a cabinet. The long handled reacher can be used to grab an item on the floor too, saving the senior from having to stretch their back and causing pain or other injury.

Magnifying Glasses - Use the magnifying glasses to see the small print on bottles, labels,or even to read tiny print in newspapers. A great and convenient eyesaver and timesaver for the senior citizen with visual problems.
