Top Five Vacation Destinations for People Who Hate Winter

Love winter but hate the cold? No problem. Here are five great places to take a vacation where cold weather doesn't exist.

1. The Caribbean
Why not have no worries in the world and take a cruise to the Caribbean? Priced from $529 to $1795 per person depending upon which cruise line you choose as well as the length of the trip, this is both an affordable option and a fun one. You can see a variety of sights, have gourmet food served to you daily and drink as much as you please for the holidays because there's no driving involved. Just stumble back into your stateroom. For a family trip you could take the Disney cruise which sets sail in Florida and takes you to the private Disney island as well as gives you time on land to enjoy the amusements parks. Which brings me to Florida.

2. Florida
The sunshine state. Relax on the beaches of Miami and take in some rays of sun. Then in the evenings, hit some of the hottest nightclubs in the world. Besides sand, sun and drinks you'll find a variety of cultural activities, fairs, and parades going on throughout the winter months. The best part? The hotel rates are at their lowest in winter so you can easily find a rate to fit your budget and needs. Most hotels along the beach range from $199 to $399 per night. The family would also enjoy a few days at one of the numerous amusement parks in the area. The fees for these range from $35 to $100 per person, young children are discounted. Or take a trip and visit the Kennedy Space Center to enrich your knowledge.

3. Italy, Greece and Spain
When most people think of Europe in the winter they picture the knee deep snow of Russia and icy streets of England. But not all of Europe is cold in the winter. Italy, Greece and Spain boost moderate temperatures of seventy degrees during the winter months. Since the summer is the height of tourism you'll be able to book hotels, rental cars and flights much cheaper than normal. It's a great time to see Europe without the big price tag. Why not celebrate the holidays by visiting some of the world's most magnificent historical locations.

4. Southern California
The land of movie stars, music and more. Southern California has it all; mountains, deserts, beaches and valleys. With hundreds of museums, amusement parks, festivals, shows, and weekend destinations you'll never get bored here. The range of prices is too expansive to list as it depends on where in Southern California you want to stay. There's Orange County with Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and a few famous beaches. There's San Diego, the city of sandy beaches and young parties. There's the Inland Empire and Palm Springs, which offer great shopping and desert attractions. Then of course, Los Angeles, which has terrific dining establishments and tons of sight-seeing opportunities. The weather is varied, anywhere from sixty degrees to over one hundred.

5. Hawaii
Who doesn't love Hawaii? Take a fourteen day cruise or fly to one of the main islands. It doesn't matter. You'll have a great time no matter what. The temperature is always great, the water clear, the people friendly. What more could you ask for? You can rent out a house instead of renting hotel. It's more personal, has more amenties, like a kitchen, living room and personal pool/spa, plus it's less expensive. There are houses available to sleep anywhere from two people to fourteen or more. The prices range from $150 per night to $700. Book a rather long stay and you can negotiate the price! It's always beautiful in Hawaii, why not take a tropical holiday!

I love writing. I write about anything and everything, basically whatever is on my mind at the time and sometimes it can be very emotionally charged....  View profile
