Many fans of the first game were angered that Left 4 Dead 2 will be released just a year after the original. Even so, the sequel provides plenty of new content to the already addicting four-player cooperative gameplay. In addition to new zombie types, Left 4 Dead 2 will also have new weapons and a enhance Director AI system that will keep your team on edge. Left 4 Dead was a breakout hit last autumn for the Xbox 360. You can expect the same result for the 2009 sequel on the Xbox 360.
4. Forza Motorsport III
Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios, Developer: Turn 10 Studios, Release Date: October 27
One of the best racing series in the gaming industry returns this autumn on the Xbox 360. Forza Motorsport III includes 400 vehicles in addition to 100 racing tracks. Furthermore, the graphics has been significantly enhanced from Forza Motorsport II. With an incredibly deep customization and multiplayer options to boot, Forza Motorsport III will be the premier racing game on the Xbox 360 when it comes out this autumn.
3. Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3 is still one of the best exclusive games on the Xbox 360. Halo 3: ODST is an expansion of the 2007 classic title set for release this autumn. Along with expanding the saga of the Halo universe, the upcoming title comes with all the multiplayer content in Halo 3 and its map packs. Furthermore, Halo 3: ODST introduces a new cooperative mode. So despite being an expansion, the upcoming Halo title will become one of the best games of 2009 on the Xbox 360.
2. Assassin's Creed 2
Publisher: Ubisoft, Developer: Ubisoft Montreal, Release Date: November 17
While the first Assassin's Creed title sold amazingly well, it was quite flawed. Fortunately, it looks like the sequel is fixing all of the problems. The biggest of which is the repetitive nature of the first game. Assassin's Creed 2 features much more variety in terms of weapons and mission structures. Like its prequel, you can expect the upcoming autumn title to be one of the best-selling games of the year on the Xbox 360.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare took the gaming world by storm in the autumn of 2007 with its impressive graphics and addicting online multiplayer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is looking even better with enhanced multiplayer modes in addition to a brand new co-operative mode called Special Ops. In all likelihood, the sequel will end up being the best-selling game on the Xbox 360 in 2009 and with good reason since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be the best game on the system released this autumn.
