Top Four Reasons You Should Not Get the Apple Tablet IPad

The announcement of the Apple's iPad was pretty huge. I am already sold in buying one but before you become an early adopter, please take a look at the top 4 reasons you should not buy the iPad or wait another year or two for the new generation.

1.) No Multi-tasking
This is a big disappointment as cell phones (Motorola Droid, Palm Pre Plus, Google Nexus) can easily handle multiple applications. It is a big deal breaker for many people who wants to listen to Pandora Radio while surfing the internet or having Google Voice/AIM application always on while reading a novel. It has already been confirmed that is faster than the iPhone 3GS because of its upgraded processor and ram. Apple should at least allow three or four multiple applications working at the same time.

2.) No Flash
I can tolerate a cell phone without the abilities to view flash but this is a definitely a crime. Many sites have flash video and some sites required you have flash. This is something Apple has to fix, either with the next generation or bending over to Adobe. It is like trying to surf the internet with a 28.8k modem in 2010. The iPad can not truly be a notebook or laptop killer if it cannot view non-flash web pages.

3.) No Webcam (Front or Back)
This was very surprising to see that the new Apple's iPad does not have any sort of webcam. They put a video recorder on a iPod nano but did not put anything for the iPad. The ability to do portable video conferencing between companies, family or anyone is a giant letdown. Perhaps it might be an issue with AT&T because I do not see why the iPad cannot run iChat application.

4.) Only on AT&T
This is mainly for people who decide to get the Wi-Fi + 3G version. I currently have an iPhone 3g and live in New York. There are times where the 3G coverage is amazing and the majority of the time; I have crappy Edge or just no signal at all. AT&T cannot handle all this traffic and I was hoping that Apple might allow the option to choose the data coverage (Verizon). It will be great for the two companies to fight for customers and a lot less traffic for AT&T since I know many people would instantly switch to Verizon. Even though the iPad is "unlocked", the major wireless providers (Verizon, T-Mobile) do not support the micro sim card format. You are practically stuck with AT&T unless you get the Wi-Fi only iPad.
