The group supports gays, bisexuals and lesbians and helps in the education of different sexualities for people who would like to learn more about it. also found at the school is cmuOUT, which is a group of gay and lesbian members who are together to try and make the campus a gay-friendly place.
Bet Tikyah is a synagogue geared towards alternative lifestyles. It is open to all forms of sexuality as well as their family and friends.
For reading, Pittsburgh offers a gay and lesbian newspaper, called Pittsburgh's Out. The paper can be found at a local gay-friendly business and can also be subscribed to.
For gay and lesbian rowers, there is a group called Crewheads that is open to the public to join.
The Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Pittsburgh offers many services to its alternative city. Phone lines, youth groups, a library, meeting rooms, office space, and events are available for use or rent. The center is located in Squirrel Hill.
Dignity is a Catholic group that meets weekly, holding mass, social groups, and Catholic sacraments. They support gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in their pursuit of religion.
