Music stands.
Every musician would appreciate a music stand. Of course, music stands hold sheet music. Some music stands are non-collapsible and provide stability. They are the type associated with bands and orchestras. Others are collapsible and are great for traveling musicians. That is what I am recommending. Every musician, I believe, can use a folding music stand to carry around from gig to gig.
A great easily collapsible music stand is manufactured by Pro-Tec, International. It retails at about $25.00. It is made of steel construction. Another nice feature about this music stand is the fact that it has four separate grip knobs for easy height adjustment. And, if colors are of concern to you or your recipient, you are in luck. This music stand comes in black, blue, green, or red. It also has wires to hold music in place. This is helpful in windy conditions (or fans blowing).
Sheet music.
Another item most musicians cannot be without is sheet music. Luckily, there are a variety of publishers offering single sheet music, compositions, and books. Of course, prices range depending on the item. Single sheet music is usually more expensive than a book.
A popular publisher of sheet music is Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation. They are known to be the largest publisher of print music. They have been around for years and provide a multitude of composers and compositions. Visit their website at www.halleonardpublishing.com to see all they offer.
For a musician wanting to play classic rock and roll, I recommend purchasing them The Best of the Beatles book of sheet music. The copyright is 1994. It includes 89 songs including Eleanor Rigby, Your Mother Should Know, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, to I Want To Hold Your Hand - and a huge assortment in between. It is a GREAT book of music! It is arranged and printed for different instruments. It is available for flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, and trombone. It probably is available for other instruments, just check with the publisher. For only $10, you cannot go wrong!
J.W. Pepper is a popular retailer of sheet music. (That's where I bought the Beatles book mentioned above.) They've been around for 130 years and sell music accessories and other items in addition to sheet music. For instance, I purchased the collapsible music stand from J.W. Pepper. They have online selling and 100% money back guarantee. If you don't see what you're looking for, place a special order. They are really good at helping their customers. I know from personal experience. You can even print up sheet music from their website.
For a fun gift, sign your recipient up to receiving J.W. Pepper's online newsletter. The newsletter has different editions you can sign up for such as community bands, jazz bands, etc. Issues are filled with resources that musicians would use and welcome.
J.W. Pepper's online address is www.jwpepper.com.

Music Jewelry.
There are a variety of jewelry items to choose for your musician. They can usually be purchased at your local music store. For men, try some cufflinks or a tie tack. They have some very cute double note cufflinks out now. I have seen tie tacks resembling clef notes. Also, money clips are available in various musical forms. The prices for all the men's jewelry range around $20.
For women, sets of earrings and necklaces are available. Single necklaces with musical notations are available. There are sets of double notes, single notes, clef notes, pianos, flutes, guitars, etc. You name it, it is available. Also, there are beautiful sterling silver, gold, and/or cast earrings available in various instrument forms. These prices are all ranging under $20, also.
For both sexes, there are a variety of lapel musical pins available. I have seen musical notations, instruments, batons, and guitars that are very attractive. Prices here are under $20, also.
Any musician would love to receive any of the above gifts. The gift of music is one the best gifts one can give. Your gift would help them accomplish giving their gift.
