Needles
Of course, needles are essential for embroidering. They come in various sizes and thicknesses. For ease of gift giving, give a package of each size. That way, your embroiderer will always have different sizes available. That will definitely come in handy more times than you realize.

A known brand in embroidery needles is John James. Known for both their workmanship and quality, this brand will provide your embroiderer with years of use. Pick up packages of Tapestry Hand Needles. Threads or Floss

Scissors
Every needle artists needs good scissors. They are always a welcome item. To assist in sharp, precise cutting and tight spaces, scissors are an essential item to have.

Pick up a pair of scissors for your embroiderer and watch them smile. A well-known manufacturer of high quality scissors is Gingher. You can buy all around use scissors, or surprise your recipient with a pair specifically designed for embroidery.
They are known as Gingher Stork 3-1/2" Embroidery Scissors. These scissors are well rated by users and last a lifetime. I've had mine for 10 years! They retail for around $21.

Pick them up at Joann Fabrics, amongst other outlets.
