People from Texas seem to like to say "everything is bigger in Texas." Their Halloween events can prove that! They offer the biggest haunted house in the world including displays so horrifying they will surely give you nightmares. Dallas is so large that you can be guaranteed to find an event to suit any taste and age group. Be warned though, several Halloween activities in this article may have age restrictions.

Boneyard Haunted House: Recognized as the world's largest haunted house, this place is full of terror. Open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights throughout October, you'll just have to come see the scariest and most realistic haunted house for yourself. Dallas Scaregrounds: This giant 23,000 square ft. facility offers three haunted attractions all for one price. There will also be live entertainment, food and lots of other goodies. Slaughter House Haunted House: Complete with super scary movie sets and props from movies like "Halloween" and "Saw" this haunting experience is not recommended for children under 10 years of age. Full of actors and intense graphics, this just may be the scariest experience of your life! This Slaughterhouse is in Downtown Dallas and is sure to give you plenty of nightmares. Boo at the Zoo: In Dallas Fort Worth the zoo will be hosting its 18th annual Boo at the Zoo for Halloween. They will have puppet shows, animal shows and live music. Pumpkin Festival: If you live in the Metroplex area you have to check out the Annual Pumpkin Party on October 18th. While it may seem like any other farmer's market, there will be lots of Halloween goodies and of course lots of pumpkins! The festival will last through min-November. Hangman's House of Horrors: This is said to be Dallas Fort Worth's top haunted house this Halloween. Aside from the labyrinth they will have an amazing 3-D mansion. They will also have live music, food, rides and games. The best part is, this event is for charity. The fun begins on September 25th and last until October 31st.
