Halloween can be full of parties for the kids and adults alike, whether it be at a block party, bar or club, or popular restaurant. But to get away from the same old boring Halloween activities, these places in Tampa are offering up some spooky good fun for just about anyone.

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens (888) 800-5447: This Halloween event is described as "one of the most intense that isn't for the faint of heart". 2009 will be the 10th year for this scary event where the park is said to turn into a nightmare with least expected surprises around every corner. The event kicks off September 25 & 26 and continues every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights throughout October. Guavaween in the Ybor City Historic District (813) 248-0721: This annual Halloween event is a fundraiser for the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce in Tampa's remarkable Latin district. On October 31st this kid friendly event during the day until 3pm turns into a party scene with costumes and outfits that take "costume party" to a whole new level. ZooBoo at Lowry Park Zoo (813) 935-8552: Come visit one of the most family friendly zoos this Halloween for a special night for the whole family. They will offer spooky trails and haunted houses, a foam factory for the children and even free limitless zoo rides. Members with an annual zoo pass can enjoy discounted admission. Hallo-O-Boo at MOSI (813) 987-6000: MOSI is a non-profit institution committed to advancing the public knowledge and interest in science and the industry. This year on Halloween they will offer trick-or-treating, costume contests and a science show. For prices and times go to www.mosi.org.

Nauti-Night at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa (813) 273-4568: While the aquarium is open to the general public during the day, on the night of October 31st this place turns into a haunted Halloween part for adults 21 and older. There will be big dollar prizes for best costumes and everything is included in the ticket price. Earnings from this event will go to the Florida Aquarium for marine science education.
