We have received gift cards before and we were able to use them. But when times are hard, money seems to be the best gift and the most appreciated. That is what we can use and know where we need it. I am sure other pastor's wives can identify with this. My husband would NEVER tell what was really needed and accepted very graciously what was given. I am the one who does the banking ans bill paying, not my husband and he doesn't understand the dynamics of our finances. He just thinks getting paid is all he needs. God says to take care of your pastor. Some members do not believe in giving the pastor a decent salary (some think that will keep him humble)and that God will bless him and his family. That is true, God WILL bless but hopefully someone will realize that the pastor and his family has bills just like the members and would like to be able to ha
