Top Inexpensive Scooters that Fit a College Student's Budget!

Affordable College Transportation is Easy when You Convert to a Scooter!

Michael MrTechnical Hewitt
In an effort to locate great prices on new scooters I scoured the local dealers, and searched the Internet for the best scooters for college students at the absolute best price. There seems to be literally thousands of websites offering cheap scooters, but when you dig deeper you find that they offer maybe one or two cheap models and the rest are somewhat overpriced.

College kids need cheap reliable transportation and it would appear that scooters are the best way to go on most college campus locations! The awesome fuel economy of this mode of transportation is incredible as some scooters can get excellent gas mileage of 50 to 60 miles per gallon, and some even range up to 120 miles per gallon.

Many scooter designs have evolved into practically full blown motorcycles, but this is not really what your average college student needs for basic campus transportation! What is best is a smaller agile scooter with room to haul some school supplies and maybe a friend. Most gas scooters fit this bill very nicely. Now inexpensive electric scooters are hitting the market hard and these are perfect for college students as well because they can be recharged at their residence and this means no fuel bills but a slightly higher electric bill!

So all of my recent searching led me to an Internet company that sells gas street scooters mopeds and electric scooters in a price range from $609 to $1189. The lower cost models are smaller lighter and may not be appropriate for traveling on the roads near the college that you are staying at, but the larger models at the end of this list are ready for the open highway! Typically a 125 or larger scooter is what you want if there is a commute between you and the campus. They offer two models that are 150 scooters and these can handle the highway as they are like small motorcycles!

GS Motor Works, offers ten scooters that they sell for very little money and they are small, simple, and super cheap! On these scooters the price is definitely right for a college students budget!
