Eden World Builder
Website
Eden World Builder seems to be a clone of the Minecraft classic game. It's fairly stable, doesn't crash much (in my experience) has a decent view distance on an iPod Touch 3rd gen. It allows you to build, dig, blow stuff up, set wood and trees on fire, but not fight zombies, use torches, craft and so on. It's fairly basic but you can still make some very cool game worlds with it. Also, it allows you to upload your maps through the app to a server, and download other peoples maps. The best world I've seen so far was an amazing Dwarf Fortress one. It's definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a Minecraft-esque experience on the iPod or iPhone.
Minecraft World Explorer
Website
Minecraft World Explorer is NOT an official game from Notch (at the time of this writing), however it is super similar to Minecraft. You an even (as far as I understand) export game world back and forth between the app and the actual game of Minecraft. It takes things further than Eden World Builder has, with more features. These include water physics, ladders, torches, and more. The developers are even planning on adding mobs in, including zombies! Hooray! The developers, Compu Hyper Mega Global Corporation (hilarious name) have a great website with a trailer and screenshots available here. The app also comes with a strategy and crafting guide, definitely a useful bonus. Minecraft World Explorer, also known as World Explorer, looks to be a very promising app version of Minecraft!
Minecraft Pro
Website
Minecraft Pro is a fantastic guide to all things Minecraft, avabile on Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It is a very comprehensive guide with a huge array of material available for Minecraft fans. Crafting information on everything from armor to transportation devices is included, building tutorials, farming, logic gates, and blueprints for more than 120 pieces! It's a very useful resource to have at your side while playing Minecraft on your PC, allowing you to keep the game pulled up instead of alt-tabbing out every time you need to look something up. Minecraft Pro is currently available for 0.99 on the Apple iTunes store.
Minecraft Canary
Website
Mincecraft Canary is another guide app available on iTunes, available in free (with ads) and no-ads (pay, $0.99) versions. Useful links to online sources for Minecraft guides are also included in the app. Recipes for in-game items and a built in-timer for crafting are included in Minecraft Canary.
