Top Philadelphia Countryside Wineries

Who needs Nappy Valley when you have the Philadelphia Countryside? The area around Philadelphia holds some wonderful wineries complete with tours of the vineyards, wine tasting, and fabulous dinners. The following is a guide to some of the wineries which are great for a day-trip outside the city.

Buckingham Valley Vineyards

As one of the first wineries in Pennsylvania this winery has a deep history to share, it offers self guided tours through the beautiful vineyards and picnic tables and resting areas great for sharing a glass of their 12 varieties of wine.

Rose Bank Winery

This winery is located in the historic section of Bucks County, with wonderful architecture and great historic homes all around it. Try one of their ten varities, and may I suggest one of their specialty wines, Rose Bank Blush! It is fruit and sweet and the perfect drink after a walk in the vineyards.

Crossing Vineyards

If you want to learn about wine, this is the spot! They can teach of every aspect form the vine to the table. The facilities at Country Creek about amazing. I must admit this is the only winery I have been to were I enjoy the views on the inside as much as they outside. Their wines are wonderful as well, offering not only their own selection, but a wide variety of wines from Pennsylvania.
