Brundidge is eight miles south of Troy, the county seat. Brundidge is Alabama's own Antique City. It is also home to City Park and the Knox Ryals Pavilion. Both are great locations for one, a couple, a family or a group to sit outside and enjoy the world around them. Troy offers many prime spots to enjoy a picnic on a beautiful day. The Pike Pioneer Museum and the Pike County Lake are two of such spots.

City Park is best known for youth league baseball games. Families who attend the games know that the neatly kept park has plenty of grass and play area for folks to enjoy a refreshing basket of goodies on a warm spring day. The area is somewhat secluded, and there's a pleasurable view of rolling hills. There is no admission. Visitors to the park should check with Brundidge City Hall before planning a picnic in the park. After all, it is the town's baseball field. You may contact City Hall at 334-735-2385.

Knox Ryals Pavilion in Brundidge has been utilized for all kinds of public events, especially during the Independence Day Parade and the Peanut Butter Festival. These are just two of the big events taking place in Brundidge annually. On a sunny day when there's no special town occasion happening, the Knox Ryals Pavilion is a shady spot to enjoy lunch for one or two. The stage is a hideaway in the wide open located on Main Street between City Hall and the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library. For more information, contact Brundidge City Hall.
