A hybrid car, by combining the power of an electric motor and a gasoline engine, greatly reduces the amount of gas needed to get your car rolling. That means less trips to those expensive pumps. By reducing the amount of gas used, you are also reducing the amount of emissions being released by your vehicle and helping make this a safer, cleaner, greener planet for everyone to live in. These two combined power sources make it a practical car both for highway and residential driving. A hybrid car does not even have to be plugged in to recharge it. It recharges while coasting and breaking, and if necessary, can be charged using the cars gasoline engine.
Car emissions are one of the leading causes to the greenhouse effect and air pollution. The burning of gasoline releases dangerous chemicals like carbon dioxide. By reducing the amount of fuel burned, you are reducing the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, thus helping decrease the greenhouse effect and increasing the amount of years our planet will thrive. Reducing the amount of fuel needed also helps reduce the amount of fossil fuels we need to strip from the earth.
While helping save the environment, you are also helping yourself save money. We have all stood at the pump, staring with an open mouth at the number of dollars we are spending as it rises to unprecedented heights. We have all sat around wondering how we are ever going to be able to fill our tanks again at the end of the week. Many people never noticed how much fuel they used, until they started paying so much for it. Who knows what you might be able to accomplish with the extra gas money you will save by using a hybrid car. Many people say hybrid cars are too expensive, until they do the math and realize how much they really will save on gas mileage.
One little known fact about hybrid cars is that they can actually help lower your taxes. The government is finally realizing how much we need to reduce the amount of fuel we use, so they are offering tax rebates to hybrid car drivers. This perk only adds to the amount of money you will save by buying a hybrid car. Did I mention that a hybrid car also retains its value better then a regular gas powered car? That means that if you want to sell or trade your hybrid after you've used it, you can rest assured that you will get more money for it then you would trading in your gas powered car. I bet you never imagined how much money you could save just by buying a new car!
As you can see, hybrid cars offer way more then just one benefit. The benefits they do offer, they offer in full force. The amount of money you will save is astronomical. By saving money both in fuel and on your taxes, you are winning twice over. Not to mention you will be helping save the earth while you're at it. By now, you're probably wondering why you have not switched earlier. Well, no time like the present, get out there, save money, and save the environment with a hybrid car.
