Top Romantic Hotels in the Knoxville, TN Area

Gayle Crabtree
When it comes to the top romantic hotels in the Knoxville, Tennessee area it's hard to know which way to turn. The allure of the Great Smoky Mountains is a romantic setting every time of year. With this stunning backdrop almost any hotel could be turned into a romantic rendezvous.

When selecting the top romantic hotels in Knoxville, there are several that spring to mind. The following is a list of my favorite spots.

Top Romantic Hotels in the Knoxville, Tennessee area
Crowne Plaza Hotel
Knoxville, TN
Phone: 865-522-2600

The Crowne Plaza Hotel has everything you want in a romantic hotel. This beautiful high-rise structure offers good views of Knoxville. These are especially nice at night when the city lights are all on.

The Crowne Plaza has the well earned reputation of being one of the best hotels in Knoxville. Inside, you enter into an expansive lobby. There is a gift shop and check-in. When I've been there the staff has always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very nice.

The restaurant on site is Mahogany's. It's the perfect spot to sip champagne. If you'd prefer privacy they'll be glad to bring it to your room.

Several ball rooms are available. Any of these are perfect for weddings, receptions or other events. I've been well pleased with the services they have provided for meetings and events. The staff works with you and goes the extra mile to make you happy.

When it comes to a romantic hotel in Knoxville the Crowne Plaza is definitely worth a look.

Park Vista Hotel
Gatlinburg, TN
Phone: 865-436-9211

Gatlinburg is one of the honeymoon capitals in the U.S. This romantic hotel is about an hour from Knoxville. It's a high rise hotel that makes my list because of breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains, onsite amenities, proximity to wedding chapels and shopping.

I've been twice and have enjoyed the experience both times.

The Park Vista can handle events, weddings, receptions or just about anything else. The friendly staff will be glad to arrange for flowers, a romantic in-room meal or anything else you need. A Gatlinburg Trolley stop is within walking distance. This makes the Park Vista Hotel not only romantic but convenient.

Mountain Harbor Inn

Dandridge, TN 37725

Local: 865. 397.1313
Fax: 865.371.1330

I've driven past the Mountain Harbor Inn but have never had reason to check it out until recently. The inn has always looked inviting and well kept. My daughter is talking about a wedding so I decided to do some research.

This romantic Knoxville area hotel is also about an hour away. It sits on the banks off Douglas Lake only a few yards from the water. The inn has a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains behind it.

The Mountain Harbor Inn has an impressive list of romantic amenities. With their special honeymoon (or anniversary) package you can indulge in strawberries dipped in chocolate. A large bouquet of a dozen red roses will greet you in your suite. For a few extra dollars rose petals can be spread in heart shaped pattern on the big king size bed. Did I mention that in the evening you can enjoy a romantic cruise at sunset?

If this doesn't sound like a romantic Knoxville area hotel nothing does.

I believe the Mountain Harbor Inn has each room decorated differently. We only lived a few miles from there for 5 years. And a great place to eat in that area is Cowboy Seafood!
