Destiny's Child was put into limelight acknowledgment after the release of their best-selling second album, The Writing's on the Wall, which enclosed the number-one singles "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Say My Name".

The first time I heard of Destiny's Child, I was living in Washington state and helping a friend weed a neighbors yard. She basicly introduced me to Destiny's Child. When they became popular in their second album, I already knew who they were.

In sight of critical and commercial triumph, the group was overwhelmed by domestic disagreement and legal turbulence, as Roberson and Luckett made an attempt to split off the group's manager Mathew Knowles. They were quickly exchanged with Williams and Farrah Franklin; conversely, in 2000, Franklin also separated from the group, parting them as a trio. Their third album, Survivor, which holds subject matters the public understood to be a connection to the group's encounters. The album withholds the worldwide hits "Independent Women", "Survivor" and "Bootylicious".
