The Underground Hip-Hop scene in Columbus Ohio is littered with talent. The up and coming talent of the capital city shows up in the local taverns, bars, and night clubs weekly to perform. These artist produce, rip the mic, and captivate audiences across Ohio. A Columbus native, GRMMFACE (Grim Face) has been on the music scene for years and is beginning to expand his talents via the internet and on stage. As an internet radio personality GRMM is making a name for himself as a co-host and continuing to contribute to the ever expanding hip-hop world. I recently had a chance to interview this native son between live shows.

Keith: What about the music world caught your attention and got you interested?

GRMM: I was always interested in music, even as a child. As a teenager I began to take an interest in making music.

Keith: What artist influenced your love of music?

GRMM: Wu-Tang, I listened to a lot of different artist and different rap styles. Wu was different, at the time there was no one else out there like them.

Keith: Are there any local artist you enjoy working with?

GRMM: Blueprint, Bottom Brick, Infinite, Omnibreed, There are a lot of hot artist in Columbus.

Keith: When can we expect something new?

GRMM: Late September early October, Rogue Hero a free album will be available. It's just a few songs I wanted to put out there to the public. The next big album, it will drop around the end of the year early next year.

Keith: How does your old album compare to the new one?

GRMM: As far as the music, better quality, I've learned a lot more since then as far as mixing adding things taking things away. As far as the writing, it will show more human emotion, (laughing he states) borderline crazy. It's going to be nice check out the preview for Rogue Hero on My Space. www.myspace.com/grmm
