Top Sport Songs Get Adrenaline Pumping

Robyn Hoffman
A day at the ballpark, racetrack or any other sporting venue would not be complete without the right music to pump up the fans and players alike. Music has been made and tailored to nearly every sport out there, but only a few of those tunes have become unforgettable fan favorites.

Whether you want to pump up your Little League team or just get yourself in the mood for the big pro game, you can bank on these songs to get your adrenaline pumping.

1. We are the Champions, Queen

"We are the champions, my friends/And we'll keep on fighting till the end..."

Ok, so this is an obvious one. Who doesn't feel good playing this song after your favorite team trounces their biggest rival? Perfect for any championship sporting event.

2. Another One Bites the Dust, Queen

"Hey, I'm gonna get you too/Another one bites the dust."

This is another Queen song that is a sports fan's favorite. Play it loud and play it proud after a victory to bring the excitement to a whole new level. This song also is perfect for the rodeo scene after a cowboy gets bucked off.

3. Eye of the Tiger, Survivor

"It's the eye of the tiger/It's the thrill of the fight/Rising up to the challenge of our rival."

Straight from the Rocky series, this song will leave you pumping your fists in the air in anticipation of a good boxing match. Although this tune was made for a movie about boxing, it will get the adrenaline pumping for any sport.

4. I Watched it All on My Radio, Lionel Cartwright

"I'd go through the stations 'til I found a game/I knew how they played by the sounds of their names."

This country is as Americana as the sport Lionel Cartwright croons about. Many can relate listening to baseball games of yesteryear on the old transistor radio. Although the song mentions baseball in only one verse, it evokes vignettes that are as American as baseball.

5. Talkin' Baseball, Terry Cashman

"Well, now it's the 80's,/And Brett is the greatest,/And Bobby Bonds can play for everyone."

This song, also known as "Willie, Mickey and The Duke," takes baseball fans on a historic journey of some of the game's greatest players. Every fan should add this to his collection.

6. We Will Rock You, Queen

"You got mud on yo face/You big disgrace/Kickin your can all over the place."

Queen is the king of get-in-your-face, rock-em-out tunes for all sports. This classic has been played at every pro sports event that I've attended.

7. Take Me Out to the Ballgame, Jack Norworth

"Take me out to the ball game/Take me out with the crowd/Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack/I don't care if I never get back."

This is the perfect anthem for America's favorite pastime. It's too bad the late and great Harry Caray is no longer with us to sing this song during his famous 7th inning stretches at Wrigley field. The song is what baseball is all about.

8. Stroker Ace, Ween

"Light up the wheels and go for broke/Stomp that pedal with a sniftin stroke."

A NASCAR favorite, this song will get your engines revvin' as the racecars round the track.

9. The Final Countdown, Europe

"I guess there is no one to blame/We're leaving ground/Will things ever be the same again?"

If you need energy, this song will give it to you. This son also has been played at many sporting events across the map.

10. Rodeo, Garth Brooks

"It's the ropes and the reins/And the joy and the pain/And they call the thing rodeo."

Fans of one of America's most dangerous sports energize themselves with this ode to the rodeo cowboy. It will have you tapping your boots and waving your Stetson in the air.
