There are endless roller coasters, rides appropriate for smaller children, Disney Character Meet and Greets, food, games, parades and fireworks, and so much more excitement. One of advantage of choosing Disneyland as your spring break travel destination is being close to the Los Angeles area. There are other places to visit that are within a reasonable distance such as Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal Studios is very kid friendly, it's a nice amusement park for a day trip. Visiting West Hollywood is always fun for the family. Imagine spending the day walking down Hollywood Walk of Fame and doing light shopping in the Hollywood & Highland Complex. In the Los Angeles area there are a variety of museums and sightseeing tours to suit all interests.
San Francisco
San Francisco is a top destination for all travelers, but spring and summer are definitely optimal times to go to avoid the rain. San Francisco is a very eclectic city because it truly has a universal appeal. Families can enjoy spending time at notable destinations such as Pier 39, Golden Gate Park, Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, and more. You cannot visit San Francisco without riding on a cable car, it's a fun experience for everyone. There are notable museums and attractions worth visiting in Golden Gate Park such as the deYoung Museum, California Academy of Science, The Conservatory of Flowers, The Children's Playground, and more!
Washington D.C.
Washington D.C. is a beautiful historic destination for families to visit during spring break . If you are looking for a destination with the greatest educational value, Washington D.C. is perfect. In order for children to learn to become responsible adults, they should have the opportunity to see where landmark decisions are made. While the White House maybe one of the biggest attractions, consider other destinations such as the Smithsonian Museum, The U.S. Supreme Court, Arlington National Cemetery, and Georgetown. The kids will especially enjoy The National Zoo, The National Air& Space Museum, The Washington Monument, and The Bureau of Engraving & Printing. If your family enjoys amusement parks, it would not be a bad idea to Six Flags of America!
