Washington DC St. Patrick's Day Parade
Sunday, March 11 2007. The 34th annual parade will begin at 12:00 noon and proceed down Constitution Ave from 7th Street to 17th Street North West. The parade is limited to two and half hours, so the festivities should wrap-up around 2:30 PM. The Washington DC St. Patrick's Day Parade is one of the best attended parades in the District. Old Town Alexandria St. Patrick's Day Celebration and Parade
Saturday, March 3 2007. The Celebration includes a classic car competition, live music, and a Fun dog show (prizes awarded in the categories of Longest Ears, Owner Look Alike, and Most Mysterious Lineage). The parade will begin at 12:30 PM at King Street and West Street and proceed East on King Street ending at 3:00 PM on North Fairfax. The festivities begin at 10:00 AM and are accessible by Metro (Blue and Yellow lines).
Mid-Atlantic Shamrock Festival
Saturday, March 10 2007. Hosted at RFK Stadium, gates open at 12:00 noon. The indoor/outdoor festival includes a variety of music, giveaways, prizes, food and fun. The Mid-Atlantic Shamrock Festival is the biggest of it's kind in the DC area and will be held rain or shine. Tickets for the main event currently begin at $15.00 a piece, but prices will increases as the big day approaches. Manassas St. Patrick's Day Parade
Saturday, March 17 2007. Prince William County presents the 8th annual Manassas St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade route runs down Center Street, will begin at 10:00 AM and run until 1:00 PM. Fredericksburg St. Patrick's Day Parade and Fund Raiser
Saturday, March 17 2007. Beginning at 11:00 AM and running until 3:30 PM, the 5th annual Fredericksburg St. Patrick's Day Parade and Fund raiser will be held at the Spotsylvania County Business Park (3321 Dill Smith Dr. Fredericksburg, VA). The parade will feature fire trucks, classic cars, High School marching bands, Irish dancers, horses, military equipment and an array of local pageant winners! After the parade, Fund raising activities will include corned beef and cabbage sales ($5.00 per plate in advance, $7.00 the day of, and $1.00 hot dogs - Meals tickets can be purchased in advance beginning March 1 2007 at Roxbury Mills, Cardinal Press and The Blue and Gray Brewery,) Studio 17 Irish dancers, musicians, a magician, and a shamrock face painter. All proceeds will go to benefit the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department.
