When you are trying to plan your family summer vacation, you don't want the cost to get in the way. You want to make sure you can plan a vacation to the popular destination, without breaking your budget. If you plan your trip right you can find many places are very cheap. There are also many top destinations that you can vacation at very inexpensively.

Camping at Yellowstone park:
One of the most fun, and educational things for families to do is to see nature and wildlife. Yellowstone Park is a great option for families that are looking to have a great summer vacation on a budget. When you vacation at Yellowstone you have many options that can make you stay as cheap as you need it to be. The cheapest option is camping, each night is under $20. The other cheap part about camping is that you bring all your own food, so food is not a big expense. If camping is not your thing or you have a little more money to spend, then you can rent a small cabin, this is perfect for large families that want to experience camping without having to sleep on the ground. There a many activities to do in Yellowstone including hiking, biking, ATV riding, and seeing old faithful. There are also many restaurants at all different price points inside Yellowstone.

Mexican Cruise: Many people assume cruises are expensive, and the price seem very expensive when you first look at them. But when you look at the price you have to remember that it includes all your food and entertainment. You can find many inexpensive cruises at websites such as Expedia and Cruises Only. One of the great part about cruises as a budget summer vacation is that when you plan your trip you know all your expenses up front, this makes budgeting for your trip easy. Cruises are great vacations for families because they have activities planed for every age group.

Seattle, WA
: Seattle is another big city that can be a very cheap family vacation if you plan it right.. If you stay a little outside of Seattle in one of the surrounding areas or by the airport you will find many hotels cheap. Since Seattle is such a large city you will find plenty of inexpensive options for your whole family. Pikes Place Market is a lot of entertainment and is completely free to walk around. There are also a lot of cheap dining options all around Pikes Place Market. Seattle Center is also a great area for families that has a lot of things to do for free or cheap.

San Diego, CA
- San Diego has many different destinations that will be fun for families. San Diego is home to the San Diego Zoo, The Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Great Beaches, and much more. San Diego zoo is one of the most popular zoos in the United States, and when you go there you will see why. The San Diego zoo is huge and has a very large assortment of animals. Another great attraction in San Diego is the Wild Animal Park. This is much larger then a typical zoo, and the animals have much more space to roam freely. San Diego can also be very inexpensive you can find hotels in the center of all the action very cheap. You can also find discounts to all the popular attraction. If you have a free night while you are in San Diego you should bring your family to a drive-in movie. Most kids won't have every heard of a drive-in and they will love getting to watch a movie from the back of their car. Drive-In movies are also very inexpensive entertainment.

Disney World: This is a vacation that many people think would be way to expensive for them, but if you plan right you can go to Disney World with your family very inexpensively. Disney World is obviously a great vacation choice for families. At Disney World there are lots of things to do for kids and adults of every age. You are sure to keep your whole family entertained and happy. Obviously if you are going to Disney World you will have the expense of the admission tickets into the park. If you look around you can find many places that offer discounted multi day park hopper passes. Also if you look at the Disney website, they often have special offers. If you can be flexible about when you go, you can find excellent deals such as when you buy park hopper tickets, they include a meal package. You can also save money depending on where you stay, if you don't want to stay on Disney Property there are many vacation rentals around Disney parks that a very inexpensive and large enough for a very large family. If you do want to stay at Disney World, they have a camping resort that is inexpensive and still Disney fun. If you plan your summer vacation right you can even go an expensive place like Disney World without breaking your budget.

    Have you camped at Yellowstone before? I would LOVE to go but haven't had a chance yet!

    And you're right about Disney World-you may not be able to get by dirt-cheap with the park tickets, but there are plenty of nice places to stay in the area that aren't expensive at all!
