Top SUVs: Popular Fall 2010 Releases

Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) are a popular type of vehicle for many reasons. First of all, SUVs have more space, allowing passengers to sit comfortably as well as providing ample room for luggage, groceries, etc. Another reason that SUVs are so popular is because of their ability to practically plow right through snow with their 4-wheel drive. Many people who would have liked to have bought SUVs in the past, shied away from doing so because of their low gas mileage and potential to rollover, so manufacturers have addressed these issues and come out with some really great new choices, and 5 top choices are making their debut this fall.

2011 Nissan Murano - this SUV, which is scheduled to be released in October 2010, will be the first in its class to cross over as a convertible SUV; it will be renamed the Nissan CrossCabriolet. In addition to the handy convertible, consumers look forward to enjoying features like the sculpted headlights, reworked bumper and new grille. You can expect to pay about $30,000 to $40,000 for this SUV.

2011 Dodge Durango - this large and comfortable 7-passenger SUV will be making its debut this fall, and consumers will be excited about the changes that its release will bring. First of all, the brand new Durango boasts nearly 400 horsepower. Although not as fuel efficient as smaller SUVs, the Durango, this SUV makes up with several other attractive features, including the optional 5.7L Hemi V8. Expect to pay between $28,130 - $45,040.

2011 Ford Explorer - this vehicle, which will make its much anticipated debut late this fall, is extremely popular. Consumers are looking forward to this sleek yet rugged mid-size SUV's many attributes, including the improvement of the vehicle's body to help decrease the risk of rollovers, as well as the ample interior, which can comfortably seat up to 7 passengers. The seats even fold down in order to allow more hauling space, which consumers love as well. Prices start at $28,190.

2011 Nissan Juke - if you're searching for an upcoming SUV that is both smaller as well as great on gas, this choice is for you. Despite it's small size, the Juke does not lack in the performance area, and with 180 horsepower, this compact SUV delivers. You can expect the Juke to be released this October, with prices between $20,000 and $30,000.

MINI Cooper Countryman SUV - popular in Massachusetts and surrounding states, this compact SUV is not only attractive, but it's also great on gas and has turbo-charging, enabling up to 180 horsepower. The vehicle has many other great features, including 4 seats, including a 3-person back seat at no extra cost. You can expect to pay under $30,000.

So, as you can see, there are some wonderful upcoming SUVs to look forward to this fall, and if you're in the market for a new SUV, perhaps one of these will be your choice. If not, there are plenty more debuting a later dates, if you don't mind waiting.
