Top Ten Best Selling Books of 2006

Writers love to read, so I thought I would put together a list of the top ten best selling books for 2006 for my fellow associated content writers. My favorite pass time is sitting down with a good book that keeps me turning the page. I have a few authors that are my favorites. I have read almost every Nicholas Sparks book, and loved every one of them. Make sure you add at least one of these best selling books of 2006 to your Christmas list.

Night, Elie Wiesel

Elie Wiesel is the author of more than forty books, several of them being on the best selling list. He was recognized for his achievements in 1986 when he won the Nobel peace prize. He is also known by the name of Andrew W. Mellon as a professor of Humanities at Boston University. Currently, Elie Wiesel resides in New York City with his family.

His most recent publication, Night is an autobiography of the author's experiences with the Holocaust. The story is told through the eyes of a teenager that has been taken away with his family to the Auschwitz concentration camps in 1944. The author describes the inhumanity of man, and the experiences of watching his family die.

The Innocent Man, John Grisham

The first nonfiction work by John Grisham is a true story about major league player Ron Williamson chosen to play for the Oklahoma A's in 1971. His dreams were starting to come true until a streak of bad luck hit with a bad arm, alcohol problems and girls. Another stroke of bad luck arises when Ron Williamson is charged for the murder of a cocktail waitress. Without any evidence, he was sentenced to death roe. The Innocent Man, tells the shocking truths of the death penalty's faults.

Marley & Me, John Grogan

This book should be on every dog lovers list. John Grogran tells the story of one dog's life, Marley. Take a journey into the life of one exuberant Labrador that doesn't have the typical calm personality of other Labradors.

You On a Diet, Michael M. Rozien and Mehmet C. Oz

You On a Diet is a new approach to the typical dieting schemes. This books actually will bring you on a short trip back to school. The authors believe that in order to keep a healthy fit lifestyle the most important resource is knowledge of how your body works with fat.

The End: Book the Thirteenth (Series of Unfortunate Events, Lemony, Snicket

This is the end of the twelve volume Series of Unfortunate Events. Don't begin this book unless you have already completed the eleven other stories of the Baudelaire Orphans and their accounts with Count Olaf.
