Top Ten Bon Jovi Songs

Cassie B. Adonoson
I have been a Bon Jovi fan for years. I know the band itself is a little bit cheesy, but I just can't help myself. I love a good power ballad, or a good rock song. And if some hairspray is thrown in there too, all the better. The band has hundreds of songs out there, so it was tough to narrow it down, but here are my ten personal favorite Bon Jovi songs.

Livin' On a Prayer from Slippery When Wet

Of course this song is on the list. Why wouldn't it be? Have you ever been in a bar when this song comes on? Everyone sings it. Everyone. It's a classic boy meets girl and takes on the world song. Interestingly enough, Jon Bon Jovi didn't even want to put this song on the Slippery When Wet album originally. Luckily, someone managed to talk him out of it.

Wanted Dead Or Alive from Slippery When Wet

Slippery When Wet is probably the band's most famous album. And it should be, because a lot of the band's main hits came from it. Wanted Dead Or Alive is no different. It's a great rock song, and an even greater cowboy song. I love to sing this song in my car. When no one's there. Definitely one you have to turn up. And the guitar notes at the end? Classic.

Always from Crossroads

I love this song. I used to sing it when I was about 10 or 11 years old in my mom's car. It's a beautiful love song. The only thing that makes me love it less is that Always was originally written for a movie called "Romeo is Bleeding." The main character in the movie loses his girlfriend and spends the rest of the movie basically stalking her. Not so great. But the song is still good.

It's My Life from Crush

I had to put this song on the list because it's another song that everyone seems to know. It's a great sports anthem and one of the band's best.

I'll Be There For You from New Jersey

This is another great love song. The band is known for writing great love songs like this one and Always. Except this one wasn't written for a creepy movie. And it's fun to wave your arms with the music.

These Days from These Days

This song is a little more introspective, and that's why I like it. One of the great things about Bon Jovi is that the lyrics to songs are always interesting and usually pretty moving. This song is definitely one of those moving songs, if you really take the time to listen to the lyrics.

You Give Love a Bad Name from Slippery When Wet

If you know Livin' On a Prayer, chances are you probably know at least a little bit of this song too. This song is most fun at a concert, because you and thousands of other people can sing the words like it's one huge karaoke night.

In These Arms from Keep The Faith

In These Arms is one of my favorites because it's a love song, but still has a fast beat. You want to sing along, but you kind want to pump your arms as well. Or maybe that's just me.

Undivided from Bounce

This song was written about the 9/11 attacks. As painful as the whole scenario was, this song is about what we got out of it, and that is a sense of togetherness. It's about the fact that we are all human, and that's what holds us together.

We Weren't Born To Follow from The Circle

This is Bon Jovi's newest song, that you are probably hearing on the radio right now. I really like this song because it's about standing up and not necessarily taking what's thrown at you. It's about trying to make a difference, and I like that.
