Top Ten Celebrity Gossip Websites

Almost everybody that I talk to on a regular basis is at least marginally into gossip about celebrities. Whether it is a boredom killer or an actual obsession, it varies. I personally check my favorite gossip websites at least twice a day, in order to stay "in the know" about the latest rumors regarding my favorite (and not-so-favorite) celebs. Here is a list of what I believe are the top ten best celebrity gossip websites.

10. Oh No They Didn'thttp://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/

Actually a group on Livejournal, ONTD is often pointed to as a very extensive source of gossip. Updated by its members, you can be sure that it will always have fresh news from a variety of (perhaps inauthentic) sources.

9. Drunken Stepfatherhttp://www.drunkenstepfather.com

This website sometimes borders on the perverted (okay, often borders on the perverted). Still, it offers a different look into celebrity gossip, by focusing more on the adult side rather than the PG-13. His commentary is priceless, which makes this website absolutely indispensable.

8. Celebrity Babylonhttp://www.celebritybabylon.com

I usually go to Celebrity Babylon for their plethora of photos. Other gossip bloggers (such as Perez Hilton) are often seen borrowing pictures from this website. They also occasionally break stories that are picked up later on by other sites. As a side bonus, they have a great fashion section!

7. Wonkettehttp://wonkette.com

I like Wonkette because the commentary focuses on gossip in and around D.C. and New York. Because of this, it is often gossip of a more political nature. Of course, political gossip is usually much juicier than celebrity gossip, so I am never let down.

6. Celeb Slamhttp://www.celebslam.com

There are many reasons why I love Celeb Slam, but the most recent reason is the conversation between the Celeb Slam head honcho and Lindsay Lohan, regarding some alleged nude pictures. Brilliant.

5. Dlistedhttp://www.dlisted.com

Dlisted usually mostly covers gossip already blogged by other websites. Still, Dlisted is one of the first websites that I check everyday. Why? Because Michael K, the editor for the site, makes the absolute most hilarious commentary about celebrity gossip that I have ever read. He has introduced words into my life that I now use on a daily basis. If Dlisted broke their own stories, I would probably place them at number one on this list. But they don't, so..

4. A Socialite's Lifewww.socialitelife.com

A Socialite's Life is the website that first got me hooked on tabloid stories. I found them in a Google search and the rest is history. They often have spelling errors, but such is the price to pay. They are updated very often, because they have two or three people that write for them.

3. Page Sixwww.nypost.com/gossip/gossip.htm

Everybody has heard of Page Six. Celebrities fear them, bloggers look to them. They are legends.

2. Perez Hiltonhttp://www.perezhilton.com

Perez Hilton is known for his blogging, his MS Paint skills, and his apparent theft of photos for use on his website. His trademark is drawing on pictures of celebrities in order to accent his posts. He is also being sued by countless people, including photo agencies and Samantha Ronson, for libel.

1. TMZhttp://www.tmz.com

TMZ is at the forefront of other gossip websites. It always has paparazzi on the scene of any possible news report, and they have very good sources of information. They are even having a television show soon. If you can avoid the juvenile comments often left on their articles, you will find TMZ to be the most informative gossip website out there.
