Top Ten Celebrity Moms!

We moms don't spend a lot of time like our celebrity counterparts - doing yoga, getting spa facials or taking in Paris fashion shows while the nanny tends to your young ones. We spend most of our time in our sweats with our hair unbrushed and toenails in desperate need of a pedicure. Nonetheless, there is nothing wrong with obsessing on those lovely, perfect moms who make it all look so easy. Of course, behind the scenes they're probably as crazed as we are. Their children probably whine when they go to work and bug them when they're on the phone. But behind the pristine wall of paparazzi photographs, everything looks like a little slice of heaven.

How does one measure a great celebrity mom? She must be a multi-tasker. She must put her kids first and she must appear to the public at large as someone who loves her children and doesn't mind having them climbing all over her. She raises them care and shows up at screenings and premieres of kids movies proudly holding hands with their tots. They often photographed in supermarkets, coming in and out of birthday parties.

And occasionally dressed up for Halloween looking cute but not as cute their dressed up kid. They mingle with non-pros at parks and playgrounds, pretending to fit in with everyone else, rather than cowering in the corner behind big sunglasses for fear of being recognized. Or worse, surrounded by an entourage while your children are photographed wearing veils.

10) Rosie O'Donnell
Adopting kids who have no homes, setting up charities for kids and being a proud gay mom makes Rosie tops with us. She also makes us feel good because she's not prettier than we are.

9) Jennifer Garner
She seems to be so in love with her baby she can't leave her side. Plus she lost all of that baby weight and seems to be handling all of the madness with grace. Those dimples are hard to resist. Hard to look at Ben without thinking of the other Jennifer but this family seems to be on track for a love that never dies.

8) Teri Hatcher
Although divorced, Hatcher is seen everywhere with her daughter. She's always dressed up for Halloween or bringing balloons to a birthday party. She is hopelessly devoted to her kid and doesn't seem to be parading the poor child through a string of bad boyfriends either.

7) Julia Roberts
Although a tad annoying, Roberts is the only mom who wears things with baby's face or names on them. No matter how tacky they are, Roberts proudly wears belts that her husband Danny made for her. She also has virtually disappeared from public view, which must mean she's tending to her children. They aren't invisible while she is out and about - she is invisible with them. She also waited until her life settled down and her career had reached its pinnacle. She probably has more Oscars in her future but for now, it's all about the kids!

6) Reese Witherspoon
She seems like one of those goody goody parents who do everything right, have perfect children and all, yech. But indeed, Reese does appear to be directly involved with her tykes and when she has to be somewhere her hubby looks after them. She is notoriously strict with them and conservative as a parent. All in all, her kids are being raised by her. She also looks mighty fine, even with no makeup and her yoga mat rolled up under her arm.

5) Meryl Streep
The mother who started it all. Back in the day, actresses who dominated the industry weren't mothers. But Streep started a trend by leaving Hollywood to go raise her gaggle of kids. The cards fell from there. Now you can't be considered respectable in this town unless you do go and have and raise kids. Following in her tradition would be Jessica Lange and Annette Bening.

4) Tea Leoni
Talk about dropping out to raise kids, Leoni has vanished. But she pops up in candid photos always with her kids, dropping them off, taking them to school and parties. She's an admitted hands-on mom and appears to be so happy doing it she'd never want to do anything else.

3) Brooke Shields
Although anyone who endures THAT many infertility treatments maybe should have gone the adoption route. Nonetheless, Shields appears to be fulfilled, happy and yet struggling every day. But mostly, she is devoted to putting forth a fashionable front. She always has the best clothes for her kids, the best strollers and all. She's fun to look at!

2) Heidi Klum
Popping babies out without incident, no one seems happier than Heidi and Seal. Always smiling, always carrying their kids everywhere, this is one enviable little group. Heidi is one of those women that seems to take motherhood in stride. It certainly doesn't hurt that she has such a helpful, adoring man in her life but still - she is choosing to be a mom and seems to love it. We love her!

1) Angelina Jolie
Angie worked so hard to be a good mom to Maddox that something just clicked and the wild child suddenly became a great mom. Two adopted and one biological, she is either holding them or Brad is. They don't keep their kids away from them ever. And, for better or worse, they drag them everywhere sans nannies. Lately, they've been out at an event or two so they've obviously got help but hey, anyone who makes the world want to adopt kids from Africa and Cambodia is tops with us. Angie rules!
