Top Ten Christmas Albums (With a Few Exceptions).

This is a List of My Favorite Albums that Should Be a Staple in Your Christmas Celebration

1- Christmas Legends: Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Release Date: 8/20/2002
This album is an absolute classic. If this type of music doesn't get you in the Christmas mood, then you really need to be checked. The music in this album is from the classic period of Bing and Frank. It makes me long for the better days of this time, and I wasn't even born until the 80's! You'll love the combination of soothing melodies and upbeat rhythms.

2- Now That's What I Call Christmas: Various Artists Release Date: 10/10/2006
This is perhaps the greatest collection of Christmas music of all time. There is something for everyone on this CD. The only downfall to this album is that some of the songs leave you wanting more.

3- When My Heart Finds Christmas: Harry Connick Jr.Release Date: 10/26/1993
This album is an altogether good album and it contains quite possibly my favorite Christmas song ever, "Santa Claus (It Must Have Been Ol')." The entire album is great, but this song itself makes it worth the investment.

4- Nat King Cole The Christmas Song CD: Nat King Cole Release Date: 1944
Its too bad that Nat King Cole couldn't be included in the Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra Album, but if they did, they would probably run out of room because this CD itself is full of some very classic Christmas songs.

5- A Charlie Brown Christmas: Vince Guaraldi Trio. Release Date: 1965
This album is a must have. A beautiful soft album that will bring the Christmas spirit regardless of age. It is especially timeless for anyone that has watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas," the animated TV special featuring the Peanuts gang.

6- Manheim Steamroller Christmas Celebration: Manheim Steamroller. Release Date: 10/12/2004
Although some would disagree, Christmas would not be the same without Manheim Steamroller playing in the background. This album has the best compilation of their best songs and is a must have for the holiday season.

7- Josh Groban: Noel. Release Date: 10/09/07
Josh Groban delivers a powerful punch of inspiring Christmas music. His track with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is a powerful rendition of "O Come All Ye Faithful," and makes the CD worth getting itself.

8- A Christmas Together: John Denver and The Muppets. Release Date: October 1979
I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of all the songs on this album, but I'm absolutely in love with the "12 Days of Christmas" song that is featured on this album. That fact alone brings this entire album into the top 10.

9- The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late). Alvin and the Chipmunks. Release Date:1958
Okay, I'm breaking rules again. This is not an album, but really a single. However, Christmas wouldn't be the same without this classic, so its included in the top 10 albums. Besides, the single was a hit.

10- Felize Navidad: Jose Feliciano Release Date: 1970
I guess rules were meant to be broken, so here is another broken rule. I just couldn't in good conscience leave this song off the top 10. It might drive some people crazy and you can only listen to it a couple of times each year, but I would be remised if I didn't add it onto this list.
