Top Ten Country Songs to Sing for Karaoke

Cami Farmer Tozer
Karaoke is an excellent form of stress relief and it's relatively inexpensive. You can head out to the local karaoke bar or set up a karaoke machine in your living room. Either way these country hits are sure to please.

"Goodbye Earl" was written by Dennis Linde and was first recorded by the Sons of the Desert. However, it didn't gain popularity until Natalie Maines and the rest of the Dixie Chicks released it in 1999. This darkly comic song is a blast to sing.

"Walkin' After Midnight" written by Alan Block and Don Hecht and sung by the wonderful Patsy Cline. This is a great song for any girl with a set of pipes and a little heartbreak in her past.

"Save A Horse" written and performed by Big and Rich. How much fun is this one? It's great for a bunch of fun loving guys or a mixed group, or anyone who just wants to buy the bar a "double round of Crown!"

"Born to Fly" by Sara Evans. Any girl who can belt it should try this song. This was the second number one for Sara Evans, topping the country charts in January 2001.

"You Never Even Call Me By My Name" This song was written by John Prine and Steve Goodman and made famous by David Allen Coe in 1975. Come on, this is the perfect country and western song. The whole crowd usually gets involved in this one!

"Who's Your Daddy" Toby Keith released this song in 2002. Always fun for the overly confident guy in the crowd. Even though most people might think of other Toby Keith songs first, this one is too fun not to mention.

"Alcohol" written and performed by Brad Paisley. "You had some of the best times you'll never remember with me." Maybe even singing the karaoke version of this song.

"King of the Road" is a 1965 song written and originally recorded by country singer Roger Miller. "Trailers for sale or rent, rooms to let 50 cents" who can resist singing along with this one?

"Redneck Woman" Gretchen Wilson's debut single from 2004 will get your party started, without a doubt. This song was a number one single on the country charts.

"Family Tradition" Hank Williams Jr - This is a definite crowd pleaser since it is almost impossible for the crowd not to reply to each question of "Hank why do you drink?" This was a breakout hit for Hank, Jr. in the 80's.
