Christmas is a very stressful time of year. Especially when it come to buying the right gifts. It can seem a bit overwhelming and at times impossible. When you look at all the people you need to buy for, you may realize that there are many personalities that you have to buy for. None are more dreaded than the Nature lover is.

They love the environment and try to protect it. They buy organic, all natural, and preservative free. They no what they like and were to find it. So here are ten gift ideas for the nature lover that is sure to make even the pickiest one jump for joy.

1.The Legacy of Luna by Julia Butterfly Hill. It is a wonderful nonfiction book about a woman who lived in tree as she fought to preserve redwood trees in California. It is a heroic tale of how she survived in the top of the tree for over a year through every season without modern conveniences.

2. A gift basket full of nuts, fruit, and your friends favorite organic herbal teas. Be sure to get a nice variety of nuts and fruits. This makes a wonderful gift that could be enjoyed by the whole family.

3. A package of homemade soaps. Many people have skin sensitivities, so this makes an excellent gift. A lot of handmade soaps has pure ingredients and is perfect for those who are allergic to things in the soaps that are on the shelf of your local store.

4. Make a contribution to their favorite charity in their name. This shows them that you care enough about them to donate to the protection of what they love. It also helps the organization that you donated to cover next years cost.

5. A recycled paper stationary with their name embossed on it. A great gift for those who love to write. At some specialty stores you can even get stationary with dried flowers made into the paper.

6. A handmade wooden picture frame with a picture of the two of you in it. Every year you could put a new picture in it, so this gift would give over and over again. You may even just want to give them the frame and let them put their own picture in it.

7. A collection of essential oils can prove beneficial for the receiver and the giver. You may luck out with a lesson on the benefits of lavender. Who doesn't enjoy the smell of lavender anyway?

10. A year subscription to Mother Earth News. This is a very informational magazine on living simply and off of the earth natural resources without destroying it. These magazines provide valuable information to the reader that may save money. Nothing is better than that. These are all wonderful ideas for the nature lover. You can find these items in a variety of places such as Wal-mart, Target, and you local specialty stores. They items can range in price depending on where you buy them. Specialty stores may charge you more but may be a better quality. Some of the ideas are already pre packaged as a group such as the fruit basket, essential oils, and soaps. I just find that it's a little more personal if you prepare the packages yourself. So see how much time you have to decide from there what you are going to buy.
