Obviously the gift of time would probably fall under the category of perfect gifts, but since that isn't an option, here are ten great gift ideas for any scrapbooker.
A Scrapbook Tote
Every scrapbooker needs a place to keep their supplies and works in progress. In addition, a scrapbook tote is handy when attending classes and crops. You will definitely need to research the different sizes, styles and colors available. Prices vary greatly on scrapbook totes, but you can find a high quality and style tote for around $20-$50.
Magazine or Gift Subscription
With all the great scrapbooking magazines available, and the cost involved in buying them each month off the rack, the typical scrapbooker would be thrilled to receive a magazine filled with hundreds of new ideas each month. And if you don't want to give a gift subscription, because you aren't sure about their personal scrapbooking style, consider purchasing several different magazines to allow them to see what they are interested in. There is even a magazine that comes with a DVD each month, packed with how to videos, fonts and other goodies.
Scrapbooking Gear
From T-shirts and coffee mugs, to purses and totes, there are all kinds of items that allow the scrapbooker to show off their favorite hobby. Consider giving one with a clever saying reflecting their scrapbook obsession.
Send Her To Class
Many craft and specialty scrapbooking stores offer classes that teach various techniques and skills. Send them to class to learn something new to aid them in their hobby. Gift certificates for classes are available at most scrapbook specialty stores.
Scrapbook Jewelry
Many jewelry suppliers now offer necklaces, bracelets, watches and charms that allow a scrapbooker to show off her passion. Consider finding a charm bracelet or watch that she can proudly wear.
Monthly Kit Subscriptions
Why not give your favorite scrapbooker the gift that keeps on giving every month. There are dozens of companies that offer a monthly kit subscription and most come with enough supplies to make at the very least two two-page layouts. Several companies even offer different sizes of their kits. Each month a special box arrives at their door filled with supplies that coordinate and will give them the ability to create some great layouts.
Storage and Organizational Tools
There are some great new products out to help the scrapbooker stay organized. In fact, organization has never been easier than it is now. Why not give a scrapbooker tools she needs to manage her stash and her life a bit better. From shelving to tabletop organization there is something for every budget.
Idea Books
You just cannot go wrong with idea books. Any good scrapbooker craves ideas and can simply never get enough. Giving a couple of new idea books is a terrific gift idea.
Be sure to check into what types of things they scrapbook about. If they travel a lot, getting them a vacation themed idea book would be great. If they just had a new baby, a baby idea book would be perfect.
Disposable Supplies and Embellishments
Every scrapbooker is in constant need of adhesives. You cannot secure your photographs to your layouts without it. Adhesives, stickers, die cuts and embellishments are great gift ideas for that special scrapbooker. If you are confused on what to buy, consider purchasing kits that are already assembled from your local craft store. They typically contain coordinating ribbons, fibers, charms, metals, buttons, stickers and other supplies to create several pages.
Cardstock and Patterned Paper Packs
Every scrapbooker needs cardstock and patterned paper. This is the base for every page they create. Without it, the page would simply not exist. And as anyone who has a scrapbooker in their life knows, there is no such thing as too much paper. Cardstock is available in different sized packs, in every color under the rainbow. Many craft stores now sell large patterned paper packs that can be used for everyday scrapbooking, or a themed pack can be purchased.
Most scrapbookers are pretty passionate about their hobby, and they probably have lots of tools and supplies in their stash already. However, the average scrapbooker will tell you that there is no such thing as too many papers, ideas or scrapbooking supplies!
