Just because they are "older", doesn't mean adults have to stop getting a stocking from "Santa". It just means we need to adjust our thinking to accomodate adult life instead of a child's life! Itreally isn't that hard! You can go fun and frilly, goofy and mindless or..... practical and useful - and therefore welcomed and enjoyed! The laughs and smiles will still show up giving everyone yet another reason to enjoy the holiday! Just because it is practical, doesn't mean someone won't want it and won't appreciate getting it.

Here are 10 Stocking Stuffer suggestions for the adult in your life!

1. Flavored Lip balm/chap stick - Sugar cookie, chocolate malt, Coke, root beer - these flavors are just a few of the many, many out there! Adults have favorite flavors too! Better yet, give YOUR favorite flavor to the one you love!

2. Fun keychains - Everybody has keys. Keys, keys and more keys. Some we take with us, some are left at home for something not used everyday and other just hang on a hook in the kitchen until we need them. The best way to keep track of keys and even to help you remember which keys are for waht, is to get an unusual keychain to keep them on. Key chains come in so many options - there is sure to be one that fits your adults theme, hobby, personality or just something that is funny so they can get a laugh when they pick the keys up! Large ones, bulky ones, slim and trim - funny, serious, religious, horoscope, captions, sayings, goofy characters - you name it, you most likely can find it. Just keep your eyes open wherever you go! Give your adult a laugh!

3. Office supplies - just because they are used at home, office supplies are still called office supplies. And we still use them at home. Post-it notes, pens, paper clips, tape, stapler, magnets, tablets, scratch pads and the list goes on. Take a look at what your adult uses alot of or always has handy. Grab a few at the office supply store or the local discount store. They will be appreciated and used!

4. Breath Mints - yes, breath mints! Everyone has bad breath at some time or another! Most of the time we don't even realize it until someone points it out to us. We are then thankful that we have a roll of mints in our pocket or purse. So why not give them the cool mints or the fancy mints or the different flavored mints to have in their pocket/purse? Get mints that come in a fun tin or a cool package of some kind. Smiles will be offered, laughs will begin, but when all is said and done, you will be sure to find them in that adults purse or pocket the next day!

5. A favorite snack - not just candy, but flavored popcorn, nuts, beef jerky, granola or trail mix! These will be great for car snacks while sitting in the traffic jam or to keep in the purse or pocket while "waiting" for all the things we spend lots of time waiting on. How about just a fun and different snack to eat while watching a movie! Even get them something that they have never tried before. If they like it they will thank you for introducing them to their new favorite snack. If they don't like it, they will thank you for allowing them to not waste their money on it! Just check out the snack isle at the grocery store or your local discount center! Lots there to choose from!

6. Is there something that your adult person "does" or is "plagued" with? Figuratively speaking, of course! Are they accident proned? Get them some practical band-aids or even some child themed band-aids! Do they "absolutely have to have" sugar sweetner? Drop in a box of their favorite sweetner. Do they demand a certain "Brand" of something? Grab that brand! These are things that are useful, yet can still bring a laugh and will be appreciated as they are being used!

7. A Pre=Paid Phone Card - believe it or not, not everyone has a cell phone. But most everyone is out and about much of their time. A phone card goes right in the wallet for save keeping but you will have it when you need it!

8. A Car Fregrance "ornament". I was thrilled when someone got me an I Love Lucy heart-shaped fragrance hanger for my car! The fragrance is gone, but the heart still hangs! What is your adults favorite fragrance? Or do they have a favorite character or thing? Again, something that will generate some laughs around the Christmas tree, but will be in view and in use the next day!

9. With the cold weather at this time of year - get a funny pair of socks for wearing around the house to keep feet warm! Or to wear to bed or even if they want to wear them with shoes! Practical and useful, yet, funny and thoughtful! And you could also mention that if they don't like wearing the socks, they make great dusters! Just slide the sock onto your hand and start "dusting" the house! Makes the chore a bit more light-hearted!

10. Do they have a hobby or a craft? Get them some of the common things that they use all the time. Glues, nails, tape, brushes, papers... anything that is a basic tool of their craft/hobby. Since they now have the basic stuff, they can spend their money on speciality things - things they couldn't have bought, had you not gotten them the basics! Now you are their best friend!
