Top Ten Gifts to Get Dad for Father's Day
Find his interests.
Most dads have a hobby or something they are interested in. It may be a sport, music, TV show, or cars but there is always something. Find that something and the search! Goggle it, hunt some stores. Most stores have great things around for sports and such. Ebay is always a great place to start if you're looking for some ideas on a subject and it can also be very price friendly. Just make sure you bid and order early enough shipping and such can take time.
The Sweet tooth or favourite food.
Most people, even dads have a sweet tooth or at the very least a favourite food. This could be a great gift that is inexpensive but still says, "Hey dad I love you". Pick up that favourite chocolate or food and a card and you're good to go! Remember the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach although mom might tell you the best way to his heart is through his chest!

Even dad's like photos believe it or not. Take your favourite photo either of you both or just of you and have it shrunk to wallet size. Include it in a card and watch as dad smiles! Just be prepared for him to pull it out on occasions and brag about you.
Day Out With Pops
Dad's want to spend time with their kids just as much as moms so write up a little coupon for a day out with dad. This could be a day out shooting hoops, or on the golf course or even just dinner. Dad will appreciate the effort and the time spent. This is a good time for you to try out one of dad's hobbies even if you're not a big fan of golf or whatever it is just take it as spending time with dad and make it fun! Or you can both try something new like mini golfing or go-carting.
Practical.
Dads are always practical so they tend to appreciate more practical gifts. If you notice that dad needs slippers, shoes, or a new wallet then this is a great time to get that!
Gift Card
These are easy and great for the man who has it all. If dad loves to read then a gift certificate to a bookstore might be just the ticket. If dad loves golfing then a gift card to his favourite driving range for a bucket of balls might be a good idea.
Tickets to a local sporting event.
If dad loves a specific sporting even try and book some local tickets. Basketball, baseball, etc... there are lots of local and professional teams that you can get tickets to and that might just be a great day out for dad.
New Tools.
If dad is a fix it kind of guy and there are some tools he is in need of he will appreciate the thought! Or a gift card to a home hardware store might do the trick too.
Showcase your talents.
If you have a specific talent now is the time to show it off! If you are a musician write a song, if you paint, paint a picture. You can make this as serious or as silly as you like. Write dad a silly song, or paint him a silly portrait, a laugh could be just the thing dad needs!
A card.
If you are a student strapped for money and far from home remember that it's the thought that counts so even just a card that says happy father's day is showing dad that you love him. It doesn't cost much just a couple dollars for the card (or in some places you can get cards for a dollar) and the price of a stamp. But it will put a smile on dad's face on father's dad and you can't put a price on that.
Remember that with any gift you get it's the thought that counts and the love behind it so wrap it in lots of love and it will be priceless.
