Ice Cube, otherwise known as O'Shea Jackson, was born in South Central Los Angeles in 1969. He is one of the original founders of gangsta rap, and one of the most famous west coast rappers of all time.

His interest for hip-hop music started when he was 16. He started out in a small group known as CIA, performing at parties hosted by Dr. Dre. He went on to become a member of N.W.A. and Westside Connection and have an impressive solo career as well. In recent years, Ice Cube has focused more on his acting career.
