10. Can't Tell Me Nothing
Can't Tell Me Nothing was the first single released off of Kanye West's third album, Graduation. It was nominated for best song at the 50th Grammy Awards and was an anthem for all of Kanye's fans.
9. The Glory
Another song off of Kanye's Graduation album, this tune emphasizes Kanye's lyrics and flow. It is an uptempo song that uses a sample throughout the entire beat in the background.
8. Heartless
This was Kanye's second single on his most recent album, 808s and Heartbreaks. This song has a bumping bass rhythm and Kanye uses auto tune for the vocals which he did for much of the album. It got up to as high as #2 on the Billboard Top 100 charts.
7. Hey Mama
While this song was never released as a single, it appears on his second album Late Registration. The song is dedicated to his beloved mother for raising him well and being a good role model for him. After she past away this song was used by Kanye as a tribute to her and he had many emotional moments singing this song since the tragedy.
6. Gold Digger
Gold Digger was also on Kanye's second album Late Registration. This song was number 1 on Billboards top 100 chart for ten consecutive weeks and at the time broke the record for most digital downloads in a week. The song featured Jamie Foxx on the ever popular chorus. Gold Digger became a hit at the clubs with the uptempo style dance beat.
5. Flashing Lights
This song was first released in 2007 and was pretty popular but it kept gaining steam over the next 6 months eventuall rising from 61 on the Billboard Charts to number 2. The slow techno style beat really gave Kanye artistic space to be able to flow a few different ways on the song.
4. Celebration
This song was never released as a single off of the Late Registration album. I love this song for its positive message and old school beat. This song gets everybody around yelling, "It's a cebration bi$%#es!!!". A great song to better the mood in any setting.
3. Diamonds Are Forever
This song featuring Jay-Z really shows off Kanye's skills as a lyricist. His flow is perfect on this sampled beat and he uses his egocentric flow and combines it with his telling of a story about blood diamonds that needs to be addressed. This song really put Kanye up with the greats because of his ability to seemingly outdo Jay-Z on this track.
2. Jesus Walks
The powerful beat along with the choir that sings along makes this one of the best songs of the past decade. Kanye's lyrics are also powerful and this song gets everybody on there feet listening to what Kanye says.
1. All Falls Down
The number one Kanye song All Falls Down was his second single off of his debut album College Dropout. The hook sang by Syleena Johnson is a take off of a classic Lauren Hill song and this song really showed off Kanye's egocentric rap style that has served him well since this songs release. Everything about this song is great, and it is the first time that people got to hear his witty punchlines and clever lyrics.
