Teen knitting is a big trend according to Leibowitz. Clubs about knitting are starting up at local high schools, and books about knitting just for teens are selling off the shelves literally faster than they can be stocked. The craft is great for beginners, one reason Leibowitz says it is so hip for teens. But not only girls are knitting - the guys are too! This is a great article about this popular trend among today's youth and knitting.

5. A Guide to Holiday Knitting: From Beginner to Advanced By Erin Bartuska

What can I say about this article, it has everything you could want. Bartuska is an organizational dynamo, talking you through getting your projects well-organized so that your planning your projects for gift-giving does not have you headed for a near nervous breakdown. She gives great suggestions on considering what the recipient would like, ironically something that many gift givers completely forget about when giving a gift to someone. Then she links her article to some great knitting projects that beginners or advanced knitters can do as projects! This is a great article, that you can find so useful, and not just for holiday time.

This is a great article that reminds us that its not just grandma who is picking up the knitting needles today. Great article that will inspire others to do charity projects.

2. Leftover Yarn Projects by Peggy Adamik

Adamik talks about something that is all too common for most knitters - what to do with those teeny pieces of yarn we have left over from larger projects? It feels like such a shame to waste them! The yarn is after all so pretty, there should be something that you can do with it....well she's got plenty of ideas. One of her suggestions is to make a pair of cute baby booties - hey, they all don't have to be baby blue or pink after all.

1. Free Knitting Classes and Knit Patterns from Charity by Daniel Goldstein

This article is about a not for profit organization called Warm Woolies. Warm Woolies is an organization that knitters knit for and their items are collected and donated to orphanages around the world. The article has a link to the website where you can get free knitting patterns and even take free classes at the website to learn more about knitting to improve your techniques. Great article for knitters with a big heart!
