1. Diamonds

Diamonds are always a nice gift. This year around Mother's Day most jewelry stores give out deals for jewelry. You can go into the stores and online to find your deals. 2. Gift card to your mother's favorite restaurants

Gift cards to your mother's favorite restaurants are also a good way to go. You can go online or within the restaurants to inquire about options. You can also set up a reservation and ask about prepaying the meal ahead of time. This is a good way to show your mother that you thought about her on Mother's Day.

You can also impress your mother on Mother's Day by throwing her a dinner. Invite some of your mother's best friends and family members. Decorate the room in your mother's favorite color or in a traditional cream color. You can get decorations at a local dollar or party stores. You can also give everybody who is invited the color palette so that they can dress accordingly.

If your mother loves a good movie, you can set up a movie marathon for your mother on Mother's Day. You can either buy some of her favorite films or rent them from Blockbuster Video or Hollywood Video. This is a good way to spend time with your mother on Mother's Day. You can also make your mother's favorite snack to munch on while you and she watch movies.

8.Take your mother to church

If your mother loves to go to church, take your mother to church for the Mother's Day holiday. You can tell family members that she hasn't seen in awhile to attend as well as an added surprise. You can also all dress in the same color pattern to show respect for your mother.

9. Call your mother's friends and set up a party

Another nice idea is to plan a surprise party for your mother on Mother's Day. You can call a bunch of your mother's friends, give them a color palette to follow, and the place of the venue. You can also plan your cuisine around your mother's favorite foods as well as music choices.

10. Take your mother on a small shopping spree

If your mother likes to shop, you can impress your mother with a small shopping spree on Mother's Day. You can buy her gift cards to her favorite stores.
