1. Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. This is the song from Rocky III. Why is this a great workout song? Have you watched Sylvester Stallone in Rocky III? He basically had to battle the Russian opponent, who was being trained with all kinds of expensive workout equipment. However, he used the basics, with what he could find in an old run down place in the middle of nowhere. But this is what prepared him for the battle that he eventually won. So, anytime I hear this song it motivates me to want to achieve my fitness goals.
2. Every Breath You Take by the Police. I enjoy this exercise song because it gets you thinking about breathing while you exercise, which can help you get better results in your workout.
3. In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins. For some reason, this song just is very powerful to me. It is a great song to stretch out or loosen up to, because of its slow tempo. It also is a motivational workout song because it is calming and peaceful, allowing you to take deep breaths and get the most out of your workout session.
4. It's My Life by No Doubt. This song is about taking control of your own life, and not allowing others to influence your decisions. It's a great song to motivate a workout!
5. Dream On by Aerosmith. When you listen to this song, you think about your dreams. When you work out while thinking about your dreams, you want to exercise more. Why? So you can achieve these dreams.
6. Forever Young by Rod Stewart. That's what we all want to be, correct? Forever young? This song will inspire you to workout so you can keep your body youthful.
7. Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. Anytime you feel like giving up and ending your workout, listen to this song. It will tell you to keep believing in yourself and keep moving!
8. Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd. This is a great song for a warm up or a cool down. It is a slower beat, but it also gets you thinking about how you can learn to fly, learn how to reach your goals, learn how to become what you want to be. This will be motivational while you exercise.
9. Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz. If your workout isn't going your way, listen to this song. It will fire you up, and make you want to overcome the obstacles you face in reaching your fitness goals.
10. Dance, Dance by Fallout Boy. This song is uplifting and has a faster tempo, so can get you to step up your workout if you feel you're lagging.
What are your favorite fitness tunes?
