The Nintendo 64 was home to some of the most innovative and revolutionary games of all time. A lot of the awesome games you see today wouldn't have happen if it wasn't for Nintendo and its first 3D system. The games that sold well became a Player's Choice title. They were repackaged with the Player's Choice label and sold at a discounted price. Here are the top ten Player's Choice games for the Nintendo 64.

10. Mischief Makers
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Treasure, Original Release Date: October 1, 1997, ESRB Rating: E
Even though the Nintendo 64 bought many 3D innovations to gaming, Mischief Makers assures that 2D games are still alive and kicking. Mischief Makers comes from a high pedigree as the game was developed by fan-favorite, Treasure. The quirky and unique style mixed in with great gameplay mechanics can only come from Treasure.

9. Mario Kart 64
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo, Original Release Date: February 10, 1997, ESRB Rating: E
The transition to the Nintendo 64's 3D graphics seems natural for the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 64 proved this to be true as it is one of the finest racing games ever made. Although the single player modes were fantastic, Mario Kart 64's multiplayer is where the game truly shines with racing and battle mayhem.
8. GoldenEye 007

Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Rare Ltd., Original Release Date: August 25, 1997, ESRB Rating: T
GoldenEye 007 was the first console First-Person Shooter that did just about everything right. The incredible single player campaign coupled with the addicting multiplayer makes GoldenEye 007 an awesome and revolutionary experience. It is no surprise that it went on to become one of the best selling games on the Nintendo 64, easily becoming a Player's Choice title. Even when the genre has evolved, GoldenEye 007 is still as fun today as it was in the past.

7. Banjo-Tooie
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Rare Ltd., Original Release Date: November 19, 2000, ESRB Rating: E
Banjo-Tooie builds upon the original Banjo-Kazooie in every way possible. A darker, more mature storyline mixed in with refined gameplay mechanics made this Player's Choice title into a masterpiece. Not to mention Banjo-Tooie's quality graphics and music that still holds up well today. Moreover, some gamers even liked it better than Super Mario 64.

6. Star Fox 64
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo, Original Release Date: July 1, 1997, ESRB Rating: E
Even though Star Fox 64 came with the Rumble Pak, people weren't buying it for the cool technology; what made Star Fox 64 into a Player's Choice title was that it was one great game. The intense space battles force gamers to come back for more, especially for multiplayer. Star Fox 64 is easily the best and most addictive game in the franchise.

5. Perfect Dark
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Rare Ltd., Original Release Date: May 22, 2000, ESRB Rating: M
The spiritual successor to GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark was better than its precursor in just about every way possible. 4. Super Smash Bros.
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: HAL Labs, Original Release Date: April 26 1999, ESRB Rating: E
Super Smash Bros. is the ultimate dream game for Nintendo fans. Pitting the most recognizable Nintendo mascots against each other, fans can finally decide which characters were the best of the group. The simple but chaotic nature of fighting in the game levitated Super Smash Bros. into one of the most played multiplayer games of all time.

3. Super Mario 64
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo, Original Release Date: September 26, 1996, ESRB Rating: E
Super Mario 64 was one of the most revolutionary games of all-time. It not only shows that the transition into 3D can be done without sacrificing the intensity and polish of 2D games but also that 3D offers many possibilities that 2D games can't. It was the game that defines the Nintendo 64 in the early years. Most importantly, however, Super Mario 64 was just fun to play.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Publisher: Nintendo, Developer: Nintendo, Original Release Date: October 25, 2000, ESRB Rating: E
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask had a lot to live up to considering that many regard its prequel as the greatest game of all-time. Not only did it accomplish the task, but The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask also manages to craft its own unique identity that no other games (Zelda or not) have duplicated yet. This Player's Choice title even got many gamers debating as to which Nintendo 64 Zelda games were the best.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
