Top Ten Rides at Holiday World & Splashing Safari - Santa Claus, Indiana

Ms. Wettin
Holiday World & Splashing Safari is an amusement and water park in one. The park is located in Santa Claus, Indiana. If you are making a trip to Holiday World & Splashing Safari, here are ten rides worth waiting in line for.

Holiday World Rides

The Voyage

Holiday World is known for their great wooden roller coasters, the latest and greatest of which is the Voyage. The Voyage is a wooden roller coaster with a steel structure. This ride is over one mile long, taking riders to a height of nearly 175 feet, and going through five underground tunnels. This roller coaster gives visitors a record 24.2 seconds of "air-time."

The Legend

The Legend is another of Holiday World's great wooden roller coasters. The ride takes passenger in excess of sixty miles per hour as they attempt to outrun the Headless Horsemen.

The Raven

The Raven was Holiday World's first wooden roller coaster. Riders are taken between the trees and over a lake at speeds of sixty miles per hour. The ride is still a huge hit with roller coaster enthusiasts around the world.

Liberty Launch

Liberty Launch is a great ride that takes you up eight stories into the sky, before it "drops" you back down.

Raging Rapids

On a hot day, Raging Rapids is a great ride to cool off. Rafts can carry up to eight passengers through a ghost town where everyone is sure to get drenched.

Splashing Safari Rides

Zinga

The Zinga is my all-time favorite ride at Holiday World & Splashing Safari. This water slide starts passengers off eight stories up. Families can ride together down the enclosed tunnel into a huge funnel. The funnel gives riders the excitement of feeling like their raft may fall over the edge, before eventually ending in a small pool.

Bakuli

The Bakuli is a new water slide that will open for the 2007 season. It is supposed to be similar to the Zinga, so I'm confident that it will be an exciting ride.

Zoombabwe

Zoombabwe is the world's tallest enclosed water slide. Ride in a raft with family members or friends in darkness, illuminated only by lighted faces on the inside of the slide.

Ottorongo

The Ottorongo is a great ride that usually has a shorter line than most of the other water slides. Visitors can ride in a single inner tube or a double one. Be sure to try each of the individual waterslides: Otto, Ron, and Go. All three are a blast.

Jungle Racer

Race your friends, family, and complete strangers down a five story high water slide. When you have reached the end, don't forget to check the scoreboard to see how you finished.
