Top Ten Slovakian Baby Girl Names

Viktorya Hale
For originality and unique names, you will find this article to be very informative. Whether you are Slovakian or your family ancestors are, there are bound to be some beautiful names that you can choose from. We wanted to list in no particular order of favorites, but in alphabetical order, the top ten Slovakian names for a little girl.

#1 - Al-an-na

Alanna originated in Slovakia and because of the unique spelling, we felt that it was such a worthy reason to include it on our list. Alanna means beautiful and peaceful.

The second is very unique because it is so close to another more common name you would find in America.

#2 - Bey-la

It is Beyla, not Bayleigh or Baylee, it is BeylA. We thought that this was such a pretty way to spell and pronounce it that we could resist adding it to our list. It means the expression "by God"!

We thought that we would just skip all the way to "I" since the only cute names between C and H are all boy names.

#3 - I-dan-ia

Idania is a very pretty name. We just love how it flows with the "nia" at the end of the name. This pretty name means hardworking and prosperous.

#4 - Ja-len-a

Jalena is another beautiful name with a nice flow. This pretty Slovakian name means "light".

#5 - Kat-ia

Katia is so adorable because the "tia" sounds like "sha". It is quite unique in it's pronounciation and means "pure". The American version is KatIE, Kathryn, Katy and Kathy. There are also some that use the "C" as well. There are so many ways to spell that name. "IE" seems to be the most popular way, but it sounds and means the same. It still has the long E at the end. The Spanish version is Catalina or Katalina. Then Katrina also belongs in the same family, as well.

#6 - On-dre-a

We found this name to be rather unique as well. The American version would most likely be "Andrea". This is pronounced like you would say "on". This is an original Slovakian name and it means strong and courageous.

#7 - Pash-a

This name can be used for a boy or a girl. Pasha means to pass over or born on Easter. This is a perfect name for one that was born on Easter or in the Springtime. It's origin is also from Slovakia.

#8 - Tat-i-an-a

Tatiana seems like it would be a rather common name. However, we chose it simply because of the beautiful flow that it has. Tatiana means fairy queen.

#9 - Val-es-ka

Valeska is definitely an unusual name and that is why we chose it for our list. It's origins are from Slovakia and it means glorious.

#10 - Ye-va

Now isn't this just simple and pretty. This will most certainly make a beautiful middle name as well. Yeva has a nice flow and means life-enhancing.

There it is, a list of unique Slovakian girl names to carry out your family heritage.
