Anytime you watch Aerosmith perform, you will be captivated by Steven Tyler's antics and vocal style. He hits some incredible notes in many of Aerosmith's songs. I don't know too many singers who can sing like that.
Aerosmith to me is one of those bands that will never be forgotten. The music was powerful, motivating and touching. Many of Aerosmith's songs are danceable, and some might even make you shed a tear. Here are my choices for Aerosmith's top ten songs.
1. Dream On. Dream On was my highschool's class song. I won't tell you what that year was, although you can already have a pretty good idea of my age if you've read some of my other top ten list music articles. Dream On is a good pick for a class song because it is a motivational song. It makes you think about figuring out what your dreams are and making them happen.
2. What It Takes. As a singer myself, I find this song very challenging and fun to sing.
3. Crazy. Need I say more? The song title speaks for itself.
4. Amazing. I really like this one, and the video for it starring Alicia Silverstone is pretty cool as well.
5. Sweet Emotion. This is one of the most danceable songs by Aerosmith. Anytime the dj kicks up this tune, everyone gets motivated to go out onto the dance floor.
6. Walk This Way. This was never a personal favorite of mine, but I put it at number six on the list because it was so popular. I hear the song today at rock clubs being played, and it still gets people dancing.
7. Love in an Elevator. Love in an Elevator is probably one of many people's fantasies. It ranks up there with the Mile High Club and probably also a roof top. Well, Steven Tyler captured the essence of the fantasy in this well remembered Aerosmith tune.
8. Cryin'. Cryin' is a slower song by Aerosmith, giving the music a softer feel. I love the lyrics to this song.
9. Rag Doll. I find this song to be one of the more insightful tunes by Aerosmith, where they actually think about the world and tell a story about it.
10. Jaded. I think many of us find ourselves getting this way. Hopefully, listening to this song can help prevent us from becoming this way.
Do you have any other favorites?
