Top Ten Superhero Movies

The superheroes. We look up to them, and we all wish we had their superhero powers. Maybe that is why we create superheroes and the superhero movies to go along with them. This article will show you some fantastic superhero movies to watch, the ones at the top of my list!

1. Iron Man II(2010). This movie is sure to be a successful follow up to Iron Man, both starring Robert Lee Downey, Jr. One of my favorite parts of this movie is watching Robert Lee Downey, Jr. as the Iron Man. He's funny, he's sexy, he's great. This is a star who has proven to be timeless, and I think he might look better now than he did back in 80's movies like The Pickup Artist and Less Than Zero.

2. Iron Man (2008). Okay, yes, I put both of the Iron Man movies into the top spot, but you have to realize that I liked the movies for more than just Robert Lee Downey, Jr. The Iron Man movies are good at suspension of disbelief, which means that you don't realize the movie is a made up movie about a fake superhero. At some point in the future, we will be able to have Iron Man technology, so it's realistic that this guy made this technological breakthrough.

3. Hancock (2008). Hancock stars Will Smith, so you know the movie is going to be hilarious from the get go. Hancock is about a superhero who has gained a bad reputation. Sure, he might help people, but on the way he destroys things while he is saving someone. Hancock sets out to better his reputation in this movie about an offbeat superhero.

4. The Incredible Hulk (2008). This is one of our traditional superheroes, starring Edward Norton. Edward Norton was quite an interesting choice for the Hulk, since he has a rather slender frame to start off. This movie is worth watching!

5. Hulk (2003). Before the newest remake of The Incredible Hulk in 2008, there was Hulk in 2003 featuring Eric Bana. Now, I am a huge fan of Eric Bana, so of course I like this earlier version.

6. The Fantastic Four (2005). Jessica Alba is one of the superheroes, so guys, you might want to watch this one just to see her in her hot little superhero outfits. However, the movie is about some normal people who gain superhero powers when they are exposed to some cosmic energy clouds in outer space. They had traveled there with a scientist to simply observe the clouds, but things didn't go as planned.

7. Spider Man (2002). This is a touching movie with romance involved as well as a cool superhero movie. Tobey Maquire and Kirsten Dunst have one of the top ten kisses on the movie screen ever in this action packed adventure about a guy who is bitten by a genetically altered spider and starts to become the spider.

8. The Dark Knight (2008). This is about superhero Batman, and is a sequel to Batman Begins from 2005. Christian Bale stars in both. This movie is in the top five for highest grossing movies ever.

9. Superman (1978). I don't think anyone would argue with me that the original superman movie is the best. Noone can replace Christopher Reeves in his famous role as the original superhero.

10. Xmen Trilogy, starring Hugh Jackman. All three of these movies are worthy superhero movies, especially when you add their star Hugh Jackman to the mix! Start with X-Men (2000), then see X2: X-Men United (2003), and finally watch X-Men: The Last Stand (2006).
